ThisisXbox: "Capcom Vancouver’s latest survival horror adventure has launched as an exclusive Xbox One title. Dead Rising 3 continues the trend for zombie smashing action and proves that seven years on from the original Xbox 360 game, you still just can’t beat smashing the crap out of a horde of zombies – and no one quite does a horde of zombies like Capcom. To be totally frank, you are not likely to have ever seen a zombie infestation on the scale of what lurks on the streets of Dead Rising 3 with thousands upon thousands after your guts in the biggest Dead Rising open world adventure yet!"
The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
VGChartz's Patrick Day-Childs: "2020 is upon us! The past decade has had some downs, like the influx of monetisation within full games, Blizzard's community backlash and EA winning the worst company in America award twice, but also some ups, like the leaps in understanding gaming from more mainstream companies to wholesome news like gamers helping preserve a controller signed by someone’s deceased mum.
The decade has also been the highlight of some… bizarre news, and I decided collect together some of the more obscure and quirky stories to make you giggle or question what the hell happened this decade."
