Ubisoft Outlines Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag PC Optimization Process

"Ubisoft commits to producing the best PC version for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag." (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC)

Looks great in 1440p 60fps, I can't get that on consoles

Certainly not because it's not possible though, well 1080p 60fps at least. It's just a lazy cross gen port.

It also looks great on a 40" TV 1080p at 60fps

I have not played an assassins creed since the first barring a short burst of 2 and 3 which I swiftly became bored.

Black flag is an incredible game so far and looks beautiful. My only slight gripe is sailing for to long is actually giving me sea sickness!

2 people disagreed LOL

What console does 1440p at 60fps? I would buy it in a heart beat! lol

Same here with my Asus monitor. Kind of humbling how games continue to improve so drastically. At this rate, photo realism is going to become the standard in a decade or so.

Terrible PC port, I'm getting 60 FPS at times then it suddenly drops to 15 - 20 FPS... Poorly optimized port and Ubisoft need to release a patch ASAP and change their attitude to PC gamers.

I had to change environment from ulta to high to get 60fps. What CPU do you have? Also don't use msaa I am good with fxaa.

I am guessing the next AMD beta drivers will max me out however.

i7 2600k overclocked to 4.5Ghz and I'm running the game at NVIDIA optimal settings with FXAA

running at 60 fps with everything max except motion blur and environemnt to high on a 670 and i7 sandy. seriously, its a next gen game, stop trying to run it on your dual core 4 gb ddr2 crap pcs.

anything below a 6 series is just not even worth it

We already know their optimization process and that is to tell buyers to get a new gpu if runs poorly

Looks like someone is playing damage control after telling everyone optimization isn't that big of a deal and the @^!%@$!$ that was Assassin's Creed 3 for the PC.

Talk is cheap. I'll believe it when I see it....which will be when Steam chops that price by at least HALF. That's their penance for allowing me to buy Assassin's Creed 3 Beta version without ever fixing it!

Ubisoft is prob one of the only companies no1 takes seriously when it comes to them getting technical.

Telling PC Gamers to upgrade their computer if they can't run a game is probably the lowest form of developer.

This game is an unoptimized mess on PC.

60 fps until the game decides not to be anymore.

I don't expect it to get patched by ubisoft, they're well known for shoddy ports.
