INFESTATION: SURVIVOR STORIES Developer Censors YouTube Parody

We’ve seen a lot of controversy in recent years when it comes to developers trying to shut down negative opinions surrounding their game. We’ve seen even more efforts of the YouTube Copyright System being abused by developers for their own needs. However, what we’ve not seen in recent years is a video games developer apparently so hell-bent upon committing every possible kind of PR suicide.

this is old news. still relevant however since it hasn't been solved and the devs were able to abuse copyright to take down a video which they didn't like. speaking of said video...here it is http://www.dailymotion.com/... should save you the time of having to look it up

Hellforged_Savant3796d ago

Yes, i'm afriad it ended up being stuck in editing for several days thanks to a communication error. It would have otherwise been up about five days to a week ago. The video itself is also on their blog's response linked in the article.

E.T. for the Atari 2600. I'm never going to forget falling into those pits over and over and over and over again. So annoying

Neonridr1853d ago

I mean given the technical limitations of the 2600, ET isn't a terrible game per-se. But it does a horrible job of explaining just what the hell you are supposed to do.

Superman 64 on the other hand has zero excuses.. it's just a flat out terribly made game.

This crackdown 3 should be in that list for taking seemingly forever only for the finished product to look like a 360 game with hdr. crackdown 3 by far is the worst AAA game this gen. How did Microsoft botch a chance to show off the power of the X with this garbage?

Link: The Faces of Eviland Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon should be there too.

Best to be Cautious of Wild West Online

Jason Stettner of Gamerheadquarters writes; "If you've seen or heard of Wild West Online you might be rather excited as the trailer looks interesting and the idea of the game is promising. That being said, be very cautious of this particular game as there's a certain history behind it that one should take into consideration before even thinking about this game."

Oh yeah, I just see this as another one of those shitty F2P titles set in the Wild West. I can guarantee this will be no different.

cartoonx12470d ago

it's not just that, it has ties to a developer that has a history of making unfinished games and abandoned when gets enough cash and thn start another project. also the trailer on youtube has comments disabled, forum mods are deleting any negative comment about the developers.
its not looking good even if ignore f2p.

MrCrabPuss2470d ago (Edited 2470d ago )

The devs REALLY shot themselves in both feet when allowing any ties to their game be related to, or influenced in any way, no matter how inconsequential, to that fat fucking manky prick of a Russian pig cock Sir-gay Tit-off. Do they not know how fickle gamers are? Those of us who have more than half a brain will cautiously distance ourselves from this possible shit heap.
I was anticipating this game until hearing this.... I'll wait and wade into reviews and gossip etc 6 months after its release to see whats what..if its even still around that is.

Top 5 Indie Game Developer Meltdowns

(CriticalIndieGamer) Indie gaming is a serious business these days, but it is sometimes a little too serious for my liking. An industry that was started for fun has become the domain of a few sanctimonious, self-aggrandizing, and downright annoying developers. Admittedly, some small part of me secretly enjoys the controversy courted by these mavericks, so let’s take a look at five of my favourite game developer meltdowns.
