Multiple videos are surfacing on youtube of the Xbox One grinding, and possibly eating, game discs. Microsoft has yet to give an official response in the matter.
oh Cookie Monster.. are you up to your old tricks again?
How'd this get approved? We've been seeing the same article for the past couple of days. http://n4g.com/news/1399134... http://n4g.com/news/1398847... http://n4g.com/news/1399107...
How many same articles did we saw on the ps4 ? Plus now its actually confirmed, that there is a problem
http://forums.xbox.com/xbox... Wow. This looks pretty bad. It seems the Green Screen Of Death is the most common problem here.
holy crap :/
It's actually the disc drive error that is most common problem. Way more reports on that than anything else.
Oh yeah, I noticed. Hopefully Microsoft can sort these things out quickly.
oh my goodness. hopefully it's <1% also......
Wonder who was the supplier of the drives. One user said his started working fine.
my coworker got one last night. I was talking to him today about the games. He didn't have any drive issues. There are going to be some people out there with faulty consoles, no different than the PS4. But it seems like the majority of reports out there are for a faulty disc drive.
I ignore this site as it is one of the worst ones for taking an issue that happens to a tiny part of a community and tries to make it sound like it happens to everyone. F.U.D.
the problem is the link above to xbox forums, there are alot of issues, awfull lot of issues. this is what worried me about the revearsals made, wether it would mess things up.
That sound makes me cringe!!!
I will stand by my original statement. Failure rates should never be determined till months after launch. I can see looking at the rates of completely dead consoles right out of the box, but RROD didn't hit a lot of users from months after launch till YEARS after launch. My buddy got his RROD at least 3 years after the purchase of the 360. I'm impressed with the low rate of the PS4 right out the gate, hoping the X1 will show similiar rates.
Cookie monster looks good in green
Interesting. And there is also this problem. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
the 3LD? lol
@sigfredod: looks like it. I guess
Maybe Xbox One doesn't like COD?
That sound is worse than nails on a blackboard
I am quite unhappy to say that I have a woodpecker in my X1. The console works fine...except that when I insert a disc it starts clicking for a few seconds. Then I get a message about a minute later that I should insert an Xbox One disc, blu-ray, DVD, cd etc. I'm not pissed or anything - just really disappointed. I have today off, but can only play digital titles. Since I bought a bunch of games from Amazon that I wanted, I really don't want to buy anything from the marketplace (except killer instinct, which I played all last night). Good news is that Microsoft is sending me a loaner for the time mine is being repaired. Spent 2.5 hours combined hold time and customer service time from 1:30AM on last night. Microsoft definitely knows this isn't isolated, because the guy said that his colleagues had gotten similar calls. It may be a regional thing too because he kept verifying that I was in Florida. Just so any of my Xbox brethren who aren't familiar with me know - I'm not FUD-ing or anything. Check my post history - I've always been a huge Microsoft supporter, which hasn't changed even after this. I hope that most people don't have this problem, because it is the ultimate tease.
