O.O fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuu lol, oh well i can hope the vita tv comes out next year for us

Abash1481d ago

I highly recommend this bundle, PS4 with PS Vita remote play has been a glorious experience. It's really amazing how well Killzone: Shadow Fall looks and plays through the Vita

TheEnigma3131481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

How do they substitute the L3 and R3 buttons on the vita? If this bundle is only $500, that's a steal.

Grave1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

@cochise One game I played used the select button as a modifier for R2 L2. For the stick presses maybe they could use the touch screen in the back?

SniperControl1481d ago

@cochise_313

Yes, you can programme each side of the rear touchpad as R2 and L2, works well with PS1/PS2 games.

Langkasuka1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

@cochise_313
It'll depends on the Developer, I think
Ubisoft uses rear touchpad and left-right corners of front touch for AC4.
http://stevivor.com/2013/11...

Killzone Shadow Fall does it differently, from the YouTube videos of remote play i've seen. They use the top left-right and bottom left-right of the rear touchpad.

The games are configured to detect if you're playing on DS4 or PSVita. When you pop-up controller view/settings, it should display accordingly.

Baylex1481d ago

Vita have enough space to put a L2 and a R2 buttons.. and the analogs could have the click button L3/R3.. But I think it works well with the back touch screen

asmith23061481d ago

This is encouraging. I wasn't too optimistic about the remote play functionality but am looking forward to trying it out friday week!

PoSTedUP1481d ago

i think its a good move, ive been wanting them to do this, 550 for the LCD (if they bring it to the states) and 600 for the 3g. if they decide to do two (which they should) because two options/prices will sell more than one, but bring out the 3g first to see how well it will actually do.

toddybad1481d ago

As somebody new to Playstation this gen (next week), what on earth is an R3 and L3 button? I think R1/2 and L1/2 are the bumpers and triggers so what's the three?

SilentNegotiator1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

$500 or bust.

How amazing would it be to have a bundle of both a dedicated handheld AND game console that saved you over $100 at $500? It would make the value of another certain console release seem terrible by comparison and boost Vita sales.

Monolith1481d ago

@toddybad
L3 and r3 are the joysticks when you click them down.

UltimateMaster1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

@cohise_313

They use either touchscreen or touch pad.
On PS1 games, you can do both.
4 corners of the touchscreen for custom buttons as well as the right and left middle portion of the rear touch pad.

M-M1481d ago

I'm getting this bundle if it's not limited. The Vita is $200 and the PS4 is $400. They're going to try and sell it for $499, this is TOO much of a steal, and I most likely won't pass this up.

Xer0_SiN1481d ago

the back buttons are the l3 and r3. i tell you right now, sony really did have a plan for vita and its starting to show now. remote play is bad ass. playing shadowfall on the go...theres nothing like it.

as for this bundle, whoever does not have a vita but are in the market for the ps4. this is your call. you will not regret this decision.

indysurfn1480d ago

OMG, this is pouring it on. WOW, I'd was hopeful the rumor would turn out to be true. It would turn PSvita around big time. This reminds me.

Before the reveal it was still rumored that Microsoft and Sony may have a answer for the Wiiu tablet. Looks like Microsoft's answer is you go buy something. And Sony will have a real answer (but optional). The vita, especially with the software that will be available genkie? Or something like that. I can't wait. This is Sony being very aggressive. In the past consoles would make a artificial shortage(even the wii). This may be a actual long term unintended shortage.

Keep it up Sony, for the final blow restart the Jrpgs, and other famous eastern games that are only available on your console.

I'm NOT mocking xbox one but Sony....FINISH HIM!

man wtf....why couldnt this be a launch bundle

GHOSTxx4201480d ago

Would've been nice as a launch edition.

mikeslemonade1480d ago

Looks fake, but if true the WiiU is dead instantly once this comes out.

mohuzas1480d ago

not really, 300$ vs 500$.

abc12331481d ago

Looks like it includes the PS4, Vita and a memory card (8GB?). I really hope this drives the Vita sales, it deserves it.

PLASTICA-MAN1481d ago

Which PS Vita version btw? I don't expect the 3G version though.

imt5581481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

Most important it's OLED PS Vita!

Best bundle evah! If only Killzone : SF is inside...

abc12331481d ago

I'd be very surprised if it's 3G, Sony wants to make this as affordable as possible and the feature won't make a difference to remote play anyway. It's also pretty difficult to tell whether it's the old or new Vita, as far as I know the latter hasn't been announced for Europe but it could be announced at the same time as this bundle.

Goro1481d ago

@imt558 Imagine Killzone SF & Mercenary!

pompombrum1481d ago

If the price is right, I'll almost certainly pick this bundle up. I think it's a great idea personally.

kwiksilver991481d ago

$550 would make it the bundle a great money saver.any less would just be icing on the cake.

kneon1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

There is a heap of great PR to be had if they price it the same as the XB1. And they can afford to, they will basically be selling the vita at cost but it will really help drive adoption.

HighResHero1481d ago

Well, if it is around $500 I'll probably be the proud owner of a second Vita.

Langkasuka1481d ago (Edited 1481d ago )

This was a next-gen match waiting to happen all along~
"Sony has previously described the device as a 'PS4 in your pocket'."
Yay, Remote Play!!

Now throw in a year's subscription PS+ and a fair-sized memory card (32GB at least). I'll be set for life~ :D

MatrixxGT1481d ago

And its damn close. Remote play looks and works amazingly well. Much better than I ever thought it would.

phoenix_dusk1481d ago

If it's somewhere between $500-550, it's going to break the internet.

rezzah1481d ago

550 makes sense as the vita is at 200 or 250? Either way you still save. And if they throw in a 4 gig memory card or higher that's a bonus.
