Ryse: Son of Rome review : Brutal, bloody, but shallow | Digital Spy

While Ryse: Son of Rome doesn't resemble the likes of Call of Duty and Battlefield in the gameplay department, it shares their cinematic sensibilities.

As buildings crumble, soldiers fall and arrows fly, we were reminded of the action-orientated set-pieces that feature in the popular shooter franchises and the latest Hollywood blockbusters. (Ryse: Son of Rome, Xbox One) 3/5

I wish MS would've delayed this game a year.

I am sure it is a decent game, but I don't think it will realize the potential it could've had since it shipped this year.

This is one time I wish MS was more like Sony, and not afraid to delay.
