Forget Xbox One, PS4 and PC - Get a Wii U instead

Excitement over the Xbox One and the PS4 is starting to reach a fever pitch. But all the hype is overshadowing the other next-gen console: The Wii U. MWEB GameZone contends that the Wii U is still in this fight.

The story is too old to be commented.

Cost effective, is one thing, decent casual titles that tailor well to the system is another, but even then, the US-based pricing of the device is so out of sync with local pricing here, you may as well then just get a tablet - a REAL tablet and get games cheaper on there and on hardware claiming to do EXACTLY what it says, rather than this thing...

The Wii U isn't a tablet, it's a console with a touchscreen controller. The experience and feature sets are completely different.

Forget Ps4 - No
Forget others - maybe
Get wii u - Yes (for games like mario 3d world and upcoming ninty exclusives)

For me its more a case of "forget PS4 for a year".
In South African terms, the PS4 is a months salary, without games, for a lot of people. Need to wait for that price drop.

Though PS Plus is pretty sweet.

Agree'd, even the Wii U is expensive here in SA... But im looking to pick one up. Mario 3D world looks toooo good to pass up.

WiiU Iwatas words will get more 3rd party exclusives like Bayonetta2 and Wonderful 101 so wiiu is a 1st party console with the best 3rd party exclusives, and it also gets most multiplat games worth playing so wiiu is a all rounder ps4/xbox1 are basically owned by 3rd partys in that if wiiu starts winning the hearts of these 3rd partys then it will spell a very bleak future because you only have to look at Killzone ps4 reviews as a 1st party example and it sits at the bottom of the pile in other words BF3 and Ghosts even scored better,Nintendo exclusive are most of the time the best reviewed games of all time work it out...

I see no place for ps,4 and xbox1 when you have pc with cheaper versions of the same games with better graphics and wiiu for the best games in the industry FULL STOP....

I would say Buy whatever you like and stop worrying too much about the Fake console wars

In my case, I bought a gaming PC last year and lots of games on Steam for very low price, I bought Wii U because I love Nintendo's games and innovations
I still have a MASSIVE Backlog of games for 360\PS3\Wii as well as 3DS and to a lesser extent the Vita, So, PS4/X1 will have to wait until a price drop and more games come out also to give myself some time to finish the games I already have. One of the things I like most about Wii U is that it's fully backward compatible and that allowed me to finish Xenoblade and Mario Galaxy 2 recently, which are btw two of the best games I've ever played on any system.

Just don't get xbox1 or ps4 they are for second rate games look at reviews for Knack,Killzone,Ryse, they all scored like a low budget movie tie in mp game ????? things will only get a little better...wiiu is killing it with amazing games with amazing reviews.
