OXM - "The more articulate car nuts among us need little reason to wax lyrical about their favorite vehicles, and no other series has so elegantly serviced our love affair with the automobile in recent years."

So many GREAT reviews for this game. Since there are less cars and tracks, it really seems they invested it in various other areas that really improve to overall game. I must admit in not a racer sim fanatic but the fact there is less cars doesn't bother me, because there are still PLENTY of great cars to drive anyway. The tracks on the other hand kind of leave me wanting more. I refuse however to buy ANY DLC for this game though.

Yeah you're right and you don't need any DLC, there are a wide assortment of really cool cars and I typically will play maybe with 50 cars but I'll probably invest significant time with no more than 10-15 at most learning and customizing every nuance.

If anything bothers me its really annoying I need another wheel to really enjoy Forza 5 as its meant to be....only reason I might wait a couple months 'cause I'm spending a lot on next gen games.

Don't forget if we meet on Forza 5, it's on you to crack the jokes. Well looking back at Forza 4 I think I purchased around 300 cars and I got to the stage where I felt I 'perfected' about 10 cars and have stuck with those 10 ever since and it also happened with Forza 3 and 2 so I'm not overly fussed but I can understand the disappointment of others. I don't know about others but I find a lot of people recycle through the same 5 or less cars...

What areas did they invest the time in? It`s certainly not in adding features since it pales in comparison to the previous games and it`s certainly not in the technology since the game doesn`t do things that many other racing games do like weather effects or dynamic lighting and day/night cycles.

Letros1705d ago

No games to play? You're trolling all day long lol...

Fireseed1705d ago (Edited 1705d ago )

It could have just gone the route of GT where you have a handful of decent car models and then a TON of low poly monstrosities, but it's this small thing called presentation. In order to come to the next gen all the car models had to be reworked and retopologized... I'd prefer to have 200 very nice looking cars rather than 100 good looking ones and 800 sore thumbs. Same goes for tracks.

But I totally agree with the weather and time cycle.

OrangePowerz1705d ago (Edited 1705d ago )

I don`t have to play constantly play games.

Where is it trolling to highlight issues just because you want to ignore them?

The game has a lot less content than the previous game and less features and still isn`t up to current standards in technology besides of how the cars look as it still lacks basic things like dynamic lighting.

The issues are in your head. Now leave the game playing to gamers, and the trolling to ...... you and your kind

Official Xbox magazine gives forza 5 a 9 even tho its half the game of Forza 4... seems legit.

Another review, another positive review. Where's the PS haters? All in the 7/10 article. Figures.

Good job Turn 10!

Daves1705d ago

I'll be getting a PS4 in the future, but I sure wish I could run 2 consoles for this. Not a hater, just have a differing choice.

Hicken1705d ago

Odd. Weren't you in that 7/10 article, too? And all the 7/10 PS4 articles? Were you a hater then?

Oh, it only counts when it's not Xbox-related? Gotcha.

As for the article, they give it ALL those positives, then push the negatives into just one tab? Another review that seeks to do its utmost to minimize the negatives to almost nothing.

But that's okay, because it's Xbox.
