Limited multitasking and voice commands aren't worth an extra $100 on their own.
heh, i wonder how hard it was for him to write that verdict, given all the negative tone of all his Sony articles... Verdict: Buy it if there are exclusives that appeal to you, not for the bells and whistles. Otherwise, save $100 and get a PS4.
well, it always matter of opinion i agree with that Verdict though
what? who disagreed with what you said? heh, some men just want to disagree...
Quote: "Verdict: Buy it if there are exclusives that appeal to you, not for the bells and whistles. Otherwise, save $100 and get a PS4." I think in a year it will be a better value proposition, particularly for users outside the US where many of the 'media centre' features are unavailable.
You mean, this verdict? "Verdict: Buy it if there are exclusives that appeal to you, not for the bells and whistles. Otherwise, save $100 and get a PS4." I just read Kotaku's review and it was not great for the XB1 either. http://kotaku.com/the-xbox-...
PLAYSTATION 4 is the system to get, YOUR NEXT CONSOLE! Going by the reviewa so far, this is CONFIRMED!!
My next console will be an Xbox one , thank you very much. Better launch lineup for me. Will get a PS4 next year if there are better games out for it then. At the moment the xbox is where the games are for now
@Insomnia You should edit your comment and add "/s" before time runs out
"Verdict: Buy it if there are exclusives that appeal to you, not for the bells and whistles. Otherwise, save $100 and get a PS4." Shocked by this since they've been on a massive Sony trolling as of late.
it might look like unbiased, but it still unfairly favours MS. Why? Because for the BADS, it didn't mention the huge power gap between the conosoles.
Dude really? Huge power gap?i dont mean to troll but what games currently on the ps4 show this huge power gap? Kz? Dude i will be getting a ps4 next year but that doesnt make me blind to logic and reason...if you were to go with best looking launch titles it would still be a flawed argument cos ryse imo is the best looking title currently,..so the ps4 may be more powerful but looking for a huge difference is equal to you being totally ignorant..
Q: What's the difference, in pixels, between Call of Duty in 720p and Call of Duty 1080p? A: About 50%.
You want console reviews to be based on number of pixels displayed in COD Ghosts? :| Stop beating that tedious drum, it doesn't even sound right. If you're a hardcore gamer and you actually like COD then you'll buy a One because proper dedicated servers > extra pixels.
@Hicken No, 1080p has 2.25 times the pixels of 720p, or 125% more.
@volkama Ps4 cod:ghosts has dedicated servers...
@Mr_Cheese Only on the One, every other platform uses "hybrid" dedicated/P2P. At best you may get some games hosted on dedicated servers, but more likely its the same proxy setup that Killzone has (ie player hosted).
@kneon: I sit corrected. Regardless, the point stands: the difference in power DOES exist, and it IS noticeable, even on a game that's as fairly simple as Call of Duty. I don't want console reviews based on pixels. I want them based on how good the damn things are at being consoles. How well is the XB1 suited for the next generation of games? How well is the PS4 or Wii U suited for the next generation of games? Much of that has to do with the power of the individual console, as well as how powerful it is in comparison to the competition, the previous generation, and PCs. It has to do with architecture and how easy it is to work with, the controller and user interface, the developer stable and support for third party developers. I would say software in the form of games, but it's too early to be making that judgment. What I'm seeing is the XB1 being reviewed as a multimedia device, rather than a gaming device. Which would be fine, except this is being done by gaming publications that should be focusing on how well it does gaming FIRST. ArsTechnica can get away with it, since they're tech-oriented and not strictly gaming, but Joystiq can't. IGN can't. Most other places who are praising it for being a great multimedia device can't.
