Major nelson shows how Bing voice search works on Xbox one.
Probably the most human-like voice interface I have seen. Very impressive.
Agreed, so much for repetition the fanboys were goin on about.
"there so much for repetition the fanboys were goin on about". It's not only fanboys some sites have reported it. You can see it in the verge preview --> http://n4g.com/news/1389758... It's understandable considering how complex voices can be & how limiting voice technology currently is.
Wow, micro has really taken the UI functionality to a whole new level. Keep it coming.....the great games and so much more, Nov 22nd is the start of a truly amazing next gen experience for X1 owners.
God I love features like this on my tech! This is future right here, MS are really doing some great things with the Xbox one!
I doubt repetition will be completely eliminated, especially when you start using more complex word strings. Though, that's a guess on my part. I'm definitely going to put the software through its paces to see how it holds up. But, it's definitely looking leagues ahead of anything I've ever seen before... which is awesome.
"CORTANA" is being researched right and have not been introduced yet... Couple that with cloud based learning technology it should be much faster as it learns.. In other words, this will only get better.
M$ is bringing it hard. Forman VS Ali (Power against smart and agile). By the way, for those who do not know the result, Ali won.
I'm definitely digging the conversational type of interaction here. And man, those results come up pretty darn fast. Hopefully, that rumor about a cortana-esque assistant is true and makes its way to windows phones and desktops soon.
Wow..lets see if this works as well as he says because if it does...wow. My dolphin browser on my phone surprises me to this day. It accurately translates some of really specific or obscure requests.
Slick as socks on a waxed floor.
Really cool and a huge improvement over last gen.
That very nice, can't wait to show this to my wife. I can say "yes it was $500 but look what it can do".
xbox one can also keep your wife busy with xbox fitness as well. think of the side benefits as well! >wink<
All those squats and that core work. Fit gamers everywhere. And of course, energetic "fun time" ... :D
Most used Bing search... "Xbox", "Bing Search", "google"
"Bing...show me Shyla Stylez"
Just googled her. OH MY. Fake boobies...noce
Dam, that's pretty cool
Thats impressive. Ima end up getting both consoles. But this is cool!
This is new information...I swear the Xbox been releasing so much info about that box for like 2 months now.. There are still things I never knew about..I wonder how thick the manual is..lol
I think if they had made a nice long informative video months and months ago showing all that it can do it would be in a better light. But its sold out everywhere so I guess it doesnt matter?? Ill get to mess with it myself in a few days.
It's understandable there was major "drm" control after that initial preview. That took a Lil while with some 180s to get fans on the same page. It's definitely more ambitious than any other console I've ever purchased. Just bring the games, all this stuff here is icing. You know at the end of the day the console will speak for itself. Im kind of a tech geek and I use Google now a whole lot so I'm into this kind of sh!t.
They could not release all the info months ago' because they were still working on it. Just like in a couple of year, Sony will have something like it, just not as good, but something.
This is really impressive, if it works this well. Can't wait to try some of these voice commands on the 22nd!
I'd really like to know how fully functional the X1 IE11 browser really is ie. could I play browser based games like I would on a PC and iPad. Could I link to Outlook / Web Office and does the X1 support wireless printing. I enjoy gaming but really I'm looking for the modern day Commodore Amiga / Atari ST etc
With craigslist integration this will be a great tool for a lot of bored people with imaginative curiosities. :)
That is so cool
I've been using Siri on my iPhone and it works really well for texting. Sure it gets some words wrong at times, but it's way easier for me than typing on a phone. I like convenience. I don't use it as much for searching the web as it's not as good at finding what I want. Plus, the phone screen size is limiting. I'm hoping the Xbox One's local power is better than my iPhone and/or their cloud service with voice recognition is better. We'll see. Siri sends the voice to the cloud for processing, so maybe the Xbox One will do the same. The magic is in the voice recognition so we'll see, but just the fact, that the Xbox One has a 4 microphone array and a much slicker integration into the UI that the iPhone can do gives me optimism. I can imagine using this a lot. I already use the search on Xbox 360 a ton to find games etc, I just don't like typing on a controller and the Kinect 1 version of voice recognition was clumsy, slow and inaccurate. Kinect 2 and the Xbox One UI should be a monster improvement on a very good concept. We'll see in a few days.
I didnt do much searchin on the 360 myself. But if its better I can imagine using it more. The fact the the X1 was built around having the kinect with it makes it very interesting. I had interest in the kinect 1.0 but as time went on I saw nothing to make me go and get one. What I have seen so far with the new Kinect I am very excited what it is currently doing (demoes i have seen) and what the future holds. I want to play games...thats a given but at this point in my life. I would like to have the games...and more.
