Housemarque developer Mikael Haveri discusses the power of the PS4 and the inspirations for Resogun in this exclusive interview.
Great game even if it wasn't free.
Technically it's not free
I disagree. "Technically" every brand new PS4 comes with a code for one month free PS+ so literally every one can have this game for free during that time period. If you bought a launch console and have the internet then resogun is completely, %100 free. On top of that Sony ALSO have a $10 store voucher code in every box. $10 can buy you some DLC or small indie games or you could buy another month of PS+ with it.
I'm glad somebody agrees. I just can't get into side scrolling shooter games anymore. I played R-Type and a few others back in the day but they were new to me at the time and everything since then has just felt the same with a new coat of paint. Pew pew pew, flying up and down and shooting forward and backward gets repetitive.
The enemy types, patterns, quantity don't get repetitive. The strategies for beating the levels are also vastly unique from player-to-player. I've been having a ton of fun with Resogon, loved Super Stardust HD too as well as Dead Nation and even Outlast. If you don't like the genre (anymore) that can't really be helped but for those not suffering from your "I'm over it" syndrome it's a great game.
Save the last humas... This game is like the most addictive drug out there!! Human lost....
I love how the announcer voice comes through the controller, much louder than I expected it to be.
