Monolith Soft worked on Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Nintendo’s own internal studio wasn’t the only team working on The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft was involved with the project, too. Before A Link Between Worlds, Monolith contributed to another Zelda title: Skyward Sword.

Keep wasting that studio's resources Nintendo. We'll see X coming in 2016.

Concertoine1769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

wow, that's pretty pessimistic. for all we know other studios are helping with X. they know X is a key title, i doubt many were sacrificed to pushing a 3ds zelda out.

UltimateMaster1769d ago

Let's hope they work more on X and more of their other franchises.

CrossingEden1769d ago

Spoken like a true person who doesn't understand game development, you would've never known this if they didn't tell you. And NO ONE said that X's development was altered and/or affected by this fact. Game studios help each other out all the time. It's like saying that watch dogs resources were put into AC4/rayman legends/the division r vice versa because the teams helped each other out.

Well, at least it was resources well spent Nintendo. A Link Between Worlds looks amazing and I'm sure Monolith had a very positive influence on the game. Now they just need to finish their project.

Misaka_x_Touma1769d ago

they have two stusios main one in Tokyo which is where X is being develop and Kyoto one help Nintendo inhouse teams game development.

Ultimax1769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

Monolith Soft is a talented studio wasted his talent on Nintendo platforms , they should have been a 2nd party Studio instead of a 1st party , I'm just being honest .
BTW , You can't compare other companies studios to this one ( Except RARE ).

wonderfulmonkeyman1769d ago

No, you're being opinionated.
There's a difference between opinion and truth, and from playing through Xenoblade Chronicles, I promise you that there's no truth to the statement that Monolith's talent is wasted on Nintendo platforms.
There's no truth to that at all.

Misaka_x_Touma1769d ago (Edited 1769d ago )

They would be if Namco still has shares in them but they don't so too bad.

animegamingnerd1769d ago

Makes me wonder if Monolith one day will actually make their own Zelda game one day

SpiralTear1769d ago

Nintendo letting another studio in on developing a Zelda game? That hasn't happened in a long time, not since Minish Cap if I'm not mistaken. I guess this is a small move forward toward ultimately getting a Retro Studios-developed Zelda game. Baby steps, I suppose.

Either way, great work, Monolith Soft. Keep it up.

Wolfbiker1768d ago

screw a retro studios Zelda, Give me a monolith soft developed Zelda!
