BT writes: I don’t think many would disagree that JRPGs ruled in the heydays of the PS1 and PS2. Games like Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy X, and Kingdom Hearts sold systems. Period. Having gaming move into high definition had me so excited at the prospect of what the JRPG could become. Then a funny thing happened: not many came out on the PS3 and only a rare few met our expectations. I was left so disappointed and longing for that AAA JRPG that brought me back to the days of old. Then Level-5 and Studio Ghibli came along to answer my prayers in the form of their masterpiece Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.
