The Elder Scrolls in a hugely ambitious reworking of the Elder scrolls for the MMO online market, it will have a subscription, and will have a first person view ala Skyrim, but how does it play?
It's a typical WoW clone but with a slight bit more blocking and dodging but Basically the "Holy Trinty" Combat tactics. Tank Healer DPS (Damage Dealers) Sorry folks but this NOT my style of MMO play! I prefer Real-Time Dynamic "you gotta aim" Combat with enemy A.I. smart enough to dodge, block, counter, and use cover. Darn Very Good article if you want to know more about Elder Scrolls Online Story quality = Excellent like Website = YES
In the video on the "HT" it says no one was a tank in the traditional terms and you can swap your Stats/gear to be any of those roles. I can't think of any MMO that doesn't require a damage sponge along with healing and damage dealers. Will be keeping my eye on this, although not a fan of sub based MMO's anymore.
"I can't think of any MMO that doesn't require a damage sponge along with healing and damage dealers. " Tera Rising Guild Wars 2 Dragon Nest Everquest Next is said to avoid H.T. You can Aggro all you want in Guild Wars 2 but the enemy will break off to go weaken the strongest attacker. Plus they will strategically move around to give minions a better attack advantage. You can Trinity in GW2 but you will get OWNED as the A.I. looks for that and counters. TERA Rising and Dragon Nest are Real-time aiming NO auto enemy lock so No trinity there.
"TERA Rising and Dragon Nest are Real-time aiming NO auto enemy lock so No trinity there." Not sure real time combat = no HT as a 100% given, that again depends on the game. I do/did play GW2 but not for a long time, and forgot about that one as an example. Either way I will keep an eye on this and hopefully it will not end up being too much like WoW.
I like the holy trinity
Yeah, every time they try to do away with the trinity the tend to also throw out tactics and the whole game becomes a zergfest.
There idiots knowing that were already paying for Gold/Ps+ and they think they can add a subcription on top of that AND paying the full 60$. Utter money hores, there using Skyrim success to make some money.
You make it sound as if this game is behind the PS+/Gold paywall when none of the MMO so far require it. So with either console or PC, it seems everyone requires the same monthly payment for the game Edit: spelling
I'm on the fence if I'm getting this game or not, FF14 was my 1st MMO and it left a bad taste in my mouth with being spammed with RMT. Also if TESO is PvP focus I may skip it as I'm more into PvE
'FF14 was my 1st MMO' I pity you.
Internet services never extended into the area I live in until last April or May, So online gaming is all pretty new to me
Go buy Guild Wars 2 you will NOT be disappointed. Best MMORPG out! $60 one time Fee No monthly Fee tons of Free DLC
How much is ESO?
Think about £8.99 a month, not sure on the game itself most probably about £30-35.
Still have a subscription? Sadly I must refuse.
