Miiverse on 3DS Won’t Feature Messaging and Friend Requests

GaminRealm: "Nintendo is officially on some kind of drug. It has been confirmed buy Nintendo consumer service rep Curtis Neal that Miiverse will be coming to the 3DS next month, but without the messaging system and friend requests feature found on the Wii U. That’s right, we’ll be getting half a Miiverse on 3DS." (3DS, Miiverse, Nintendo)

Yeah that's sucks big time. I know they trying to protect their younger audience, but come on now. Every other gaming console/platform has a messaging system, don't punish everybody for what a few people have done.

The backlash is sure to change their minds in short order.
It's a dumb decision to limit the 3DS Miiverse, and it'll come back to bite them until they change it appropriately, mark my words.

Wow. So basically, it's not "Miiverse for the 3DS", it's a companion for the WiiU Miiverse.
