Bethesda's Pete Hines talks about the upcoming Knights of the Nine content update.
when will this be available for 360?
I Think somewhere around Nov.25th. it is the same date for when they release the PC retail version...i know i heard that.
Elder Scrolls Web site says Nov 21st.
Just before turkey day.
It's f***ing $10 for PC/360 owners, and the PS3 crowd gets it FREE! F*** you, Bethesda...I'm done forking over $$ to your greedy asses.
the retail price of the PS3 version of Oblivion?
The PS3 guys don't get Onlivion until december.
And that's assuming they get a PS3 to start with. Most won't see it until may so I don't care if they get the Knights free free or not. That said, the last report I saw over in PS3-land was that Knights of the Nine was an extra cost downloadable for PS3: There was a pic of the Sony DL page with it...
There's no way I'm forking over another $10 to play some more of a pc game I got tired of months ago.
I know how much they are listed for on many sites. But first party games for the ps3 have been confirmed at 60 dollars. Normally the 3rd party titles are 10 dollars more. But, regardless of what the actual prices will be. 360 and PC gamers have to understand that the PS3 version is almost a year late. So they have to put the add ons into it. That makes it more appealing to the people who spend over half a grand for the ps3. Its a good thing for them. They can experience what we have either beat or we are in our 200th hour with oblivion. The add on for us...ads 10 to 20 more hours to an already complete and fantastic game. You always pay a premium to have the latest greatest. PS3 is getting a Great game. But its far from the latest. The same went with the GTA series when it finally came to the original xbox. They added things and coupled both games in one. Why? Well, because it wasn't new and fresh anymore. Thats the way the industry works. Same with Fight Night rnd 3. They added some features to it. Because its not New and Fresh anymore. Its a game I'm personally done with and many 360 owners have played to death. Its good that Sony Ps3 owners get a reason to buy it. When games come out at the same time. Like Rainbow Six Vegas...Thats when you will see that the differences will be minimal. From content to graphics. But, the 360 has a slight edge in graphics and episodic content as the case in graphics with Rainbow Six and the added content with GTA 4.
Now back to the Oblivion 10 dollar add on. Thats fantastic for those who still play oblvion or have started over with a new charactor. My question is how much is oblivion brand new NOW? That would be interesting to know. If its 40 dollars and then for 20 dollars you can buy all the add ons and the new Knights of the Nine quests...that would be fair. Then you can buy the ps3 version or the 360 version for the same price. But, I'm just throwing that out there as a possibility. We will see. But its good news for 360 owners and ps3 owners.
The question you have to ask yourself is....
Would you have rathered that they didn't release oblvion untill they released the ps3 version? Would you have rathered they wait and released the PC, 360, and Ps3 at the same time this month? Thats the question you have to ask. The game is identical in terms of content and graphics for the most part. They made the way the terrain shows up in the distance a little better on the ps3 version. But nothing that ultimately changes the game. Thats the question 360 and pc gamers have to ask themselves. Get it new and fresh or wait for a year and get it the same time as the ps3 version and save 20 bucks. Thats why older games drop in price. Thats like someone saying. WTF.... I bought that game a year ago for 60 dollars and now its a budget title at 29.99. Thats so unfair. ha ha ha ha...Think about it.
