these two paragraphs clearly shows this authors agenda and misinformations while apologizing for xbox ones weaker hardware. everyday the apologists come out to spout rubbish. from adam sessler to a lot others.

inform the masses with facts about the consoles and let them make their choices. if someone wants to choose a weaker console it should be up to them but they should know the facts. the merits of the consoles should speak for themselves and garner audience accordingly based on them and not misinformation or untruths.

If you are taking a reviewers personal opinion as a statement of statistical fact then thats your problem.

In those 2 paragraphs it clearly states their previous history and reasoning behind their preferences.

It even says there is a difference between the 2 consoles resolution and says the PS4 is higher but at first glance you may not even know the difference until theyre side by side. Which we have seen in all the side by side videos and photos.

It seems like youre just trying to have a go at someone that doesnt agree with your views. It is your view the XBO is weaker and you must have your reasons, other people have other reasons as to why it isnt.

First off, why do you consider both consoles are of the same price, i think X1 is not more than 300$ to 340$, they are charging way much more for the Kinect. The price of PSeye is 59$, still the price is less than X1, if they include it.

Not sure where youre from but interestingly in my country the xbox one is cheaper than the PS4+camera.

In america the ps4+camera would still be slightly cheaper but lets face it they arent even close to being the actual same camera. Now if ps4 came with a kinect that would be an interesting price to talk about.

Don't think anyone really cares about resolution on console too much. It won't make or break a decision to buy a console. When some of you grow up, you'll understand that. Petty sure people choose the X1 because of it's online capabilities and console specific functions,not for resolution. But a child wouldn't understand such an obvious concept.

I think a lot of them started gaming in the last decade. As a gamer that started in the late seventies, I completely agree with you. Starting with Atari 2600 through all the Nintendos up to N64, I never made purchases with resolution in mind, that started coming up with PS2 and original Xbox(this generation's Pepsi vs Coke).

It makes me wonder if this whole resolution war was started by kids that couldn't afford fancy gaming rigs like their rich friends had, so they had to find a way to be above the kids with the other console.

And, don't get me wrong, Sega and Nintendo went at it a little through the nineties, but nowhere to the extent it is now. I guess the power of the internet brings us all closer together ;-)

I agree with you completely. There is such a tremendous emphasis placed on resolution and frame rate that most gamers overlook the necessity for great game play.

The best games I ever played, wouldn't stack up to a lot of their competitors. For example, the best shooter I ever played was Tribes 2 for PC. It wasn't the prettiest game out at the time, but it was different and so well done that it was hard to walk away.

In my experience it isn't the games that are the shiniest that I am the most immersed in but the ones with the best game play.
