Xbox One probably won’t ever get Xbox 360 backwards compatibility

The way to offer backwards compatibility on a machine with a completely different architecture to the old games you are trying to support is through streaming. That’s what Sony is going to attempt to achieve, and it’s a big part of the reason the company acquired Gaikai last year. At some point in 2014, Sony is aiming to have older PlayStation titles streaming to a PS4.

That goes without saying, because it is completely different hardware and firmware.

It's fine by me, especially if it doesn't offer any improvements over playing the game on xbox360. I'm fine using it to play the games with.

there no point in it being backwards compatible, just plug in your 360 to the X1 via the HDMI in port and you good to go..

Its likely it will happen, they managed it with the 360. Microsoft is a world class software company, if anyone can do it, it will be them
