Assassin's Creed III Was Disappointing. How Does Black Flag Stack Up?

Kotaku - "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag had a lot of making up to do. I thought the previous game in the series, Assassin's Creed III, was a resounding disappointment. I've already weighed in on the new, pirate-themed Black Flag: It's pretty good. But for those who felt burnt by the last game, a more thorough comparison may be in order." (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

To me AC3 wasn't disappointing, I liked it very, actually, the story could be better and main character more interesting with more clear intentions and less doubts, but it was very fun to play actually, it was something completely new for once, at least. Stealth was pretty bad though.

But I am very eager to play AC3:BF, it looks much more well done, and the main character seems cool.

i wasnt entirely disappointed by AC3, just wasnt AC2. multiplayer wasnt my cup of tea and the whole game was a grind to platinum, given if you dont his any glitches. thankfully i only hit a few gameplay glitches and nothing game or trophy breaking

I got bored of AC3 a few hours into it. Homestead missions, boring wilderness, boring towns all made my experience lame.

But I will be getting AC4 at the PS4 launch day

Yeah, the intro was waaay to long for me too. It was 6 (If I remember correctly) long sequences till you finally get to play the game with Conor (main character) as an Assassin.

I can't say that it was a bad thing for everyone, but I just wanted to faster start playing on my own and assassinating people ;d

AC3 introduced fast running, the real sprint, also naval battles. I actually enjoyed it a lot.
