Irrational’s solid shooter mechanics and ability to set up an interesting mystery also make for a mostly enjoyable experience.
The wax-figure-like NPCs and mostly uneventful story, however, dampen a lot of the fun. It’s possible that once both parts of the two-episode Burial at Sea series are out, the story issues will evaporate. That’s just not the case right now.
Examples of DLCs that are NOT cynical cash-grabs are few and far between. These rare gems can significantly expand upon and improve the base game. GameLuster's Nirav Gandhi highlights the top ten DLCs of all time. Publishers take note - these are DLCs done right.
My favorite DLC list would be:
10) Dragon Age Origins: Awakening
9) Assassin's Creed IV: Freedom Cry
8) Destiny: The Taken King
7) Fallout 4: Far Harbor
6) Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road
5) The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard
4) The Elder Scrolls IV: The Shivering Isles
3) The Last of Us: Left Behind
2) Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
1) The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine
Honorable) Mass Effect 3: Citadel, The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone, FarCry 3: Blood Dragon, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls
Also) Fallout 76: Wastelanders (Actually brings some sense to the game) (Should be a standalone offline title)
Where’s Big surf island from Burnout Paradise? And all the extras.
GTA4’s dlc was one of the best ever
Undead nightmare was brilliant My 3 favourites off top of my head great value and great content
Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3 DLC was great, Horizon: Zero Dawn's Frozen Wilds DLC was good.
Gavin Goulden, lead character artist in Insomniac Games, told Sector.sk more about creating characters in Marvel's Spider-Man, Sunset Overdrive, and Bioshock Infinite.
Just some of the scenes that stand out from 2K's celebrated shooter series.
The lukewarm reception to this is bumming me out.
Problems aside, I'm still really looking forward to this!
Unfortunate for this first episode. Think I'll adapt my Wolf Among Us policy and wait for further installments before picking this up.
