Gran Turismo6 Hands on Details Better AI,Sounds,Menu and Physics |GTPlanet

Last week, GTPlanet was invited to Willow Springs Raceway to try out Gran Turismo 6’s new GPS Data Logger functionality. We also got another surprise – the “full” version of the game was on display, and those of us at the event would be the first people outside of Polyphony Digital to get our hands on it.

Woah. GT6 looking like the best racing game of the year. :)

Boody-Bandit1864d ago

Without question it will be.
GT6 is an absolute beast of a game. 70 tracks over 1000 cars, triple panel support and the best physics of any racer on a console. GT6 is the only reason I'm holding on to my PS3's and it's going to be the biggest reason my transition into next gen is going to be slower than any previous transition into a new generation of gaming.

I already played GT6, not the full version, and the differences are very noticeable right off the line. I can't wait to get this game. Buying 3 copies so I can play it on my triple panels

GT5 supports 5 panels so GT6 would probably do so too. Just a FYI, but yeah GT6 is going to be a great sim.

I know GT6 supports 5 panels but that is too much width for my gaming room. My triple 46" displays take up 9 feet in width. Besides I like to sit close to the center display. If you have 5 displays you have to sit further back.

Don't mistake my upcoming comment as a dig at GT5. I loved GT5 and sunk many many hours into it..

However I think the scope of the game was outside the realm of what Polyphony Digital could deliver in the time frame they did.

Seeing those premium car models for the first time is one of those moments that will stay with me from this previous generation. But they weren't able to deliver all models in the premium resolution and that was disappointing to me.

Plus the game adhered to the same ole career structure it always had and although it worked fine it started getting a little stale...

Again don't get me wrong I loved GT5 and played the snot out of it but GT6 looks like its the game that GT5 should have been. I cannot wait to play GT6 despite the fact that I am getting a PS4 this friday.. Imagine what GT is going to look like on the PS4!!

Dude, it's going to be a really, really awesome time for racing fans when next-gen Gran Turismo hits the shelves in a couple of years. Because not only is that going to just blow our socks off, but knowing Turn 10, we will probably have Forza 6 specifically timed to release at the same time.

I might just lose my mind.

I Imagine GT7 on PS4 will do some of the following.

-Increase Pix count on all premiums
-Increase pix on all standards
-Increase amount of cars on track
-Increase FPS stability (in the article it mentions that's a problem for GT6 though Kaz is trying to fix it)
-Increase detail on surrounding track/grass/dust/etc etc
-Better lighting
-Even more premiums

It's not so much a graphics leap as it will be a functionality leap. MLB:The Show is going to be a prime example before GT7 releases.

Gran Turismo's career formula is one of the things I like the most about the game. It doesn't force you to pick a specific car which give me the opportunity to drive cars I actually own/owned or cars I wish I could and tune them to my driving style.
