yeah, target is shooting itself in the foot by not selling the ps4 games it has in stock ahead of the consoles release date. can't buy shadowfall or knack until friday - all that means is amazon is getting my money instead. i have my console pre-ordered from them anyway, so now i'll just be getting everything at the same time from UPS.

They're interconnected, but completely different.

The promotion you're talking about was a "good will" gesture Amazon did, so existing preorders could get first crack at this promotion. So if you preordered 1 game, you got a B1G1 free voucher. If you preordered two games, you flat out got a free game.

This promotion is a universal code, which is open to all and doesn't require getting a random code from Amazon.

So while they're the "same", they're also completely different.

While I understand your point, a lot of people forget that GameStop can't subsidize the cost. GameStop makes 90%+ of their money from gaming (the remaining 10% being tech and misc other stuff they sell), so they can't keep up or offer killer deals like Amazon or Target, which offer a vast array of other products that you might buy while in store.

the only ps4 game my target is selling is call of duty. their ad even says that most games won't be available until friday - i guess you got lucky that the one you went to was selling games early.

yeah I sure did, got last copy of knack and 2k14 2 copies left of killzone , the guy said they put out 10 copies of knack and 2k14 and 15 of killzone , he stated that they have 50 copies of cod ghost ps4 in back with 7 in case they got 60 total when the game launched he said there not selling well , so they sold 3 copies of ghost so far from the 3 games I listed that I got sold more than ghost. lmao on ghost not selling well so I guess that 1 billion sold to stores is going to have a price drop very soon.

If you're extremely worried, you can simply go to Target or something and purchase it. Then when your game comes from Amazon, return it to break even. It is a pain in the butt and a little out of the way, but it is the easiest way to make sure you're satisfied.

Thx, i just tried and they told me any changes you make to your PS4 preorder, you will lose your spot. So, looks like thats taking a chance of not even getting one this month or year for that matter. I just had to leave it unchanged. Doesnt make much sense. Oh well, hehe.

Bummer, talked to two different people in the amazon customer service department. They really tried to see if they could upgrade the shipping for me to 1 day, for free even!

Without having to make a new order and nothing that can be done. They said if they did it, you will lose your spot and the delivery date will say unknown.

They said it is extremely high in demand. So looks like next week for me! Damn, better than waiting a couple months at least!

PS3 (with the exception of Persona 4 Arena) and PS4 are region free. The only issue you might have is getting Amazon to ship to the UK.
