Call of Duty: Ghosts offers up another campaign of high-octane military thrills, spills and noise, but does it stack up nicely with the rest of the series? VG247′s Dave Cook finished it and has this to say.
I finished the game. It was INTENSE, however it lacked any semblance of me "caring" characters. like at all. I know there are 2 brothers a dad and a dog, the rest is fuzzy. seemed like they were trying to paint the Ghosts in some CRAZY limelight. "the ghosts were so BOSS they were SO SKILLED at EVERYTHING" Their Shit didn't stink at ALL, they were the GHOSTS Legends of the UNIVERSE. but in reality they weren't doing anything more than any other military shooter, I literally saw NOTHING that actually physically mentally or tactically set them apart from an ordinary soldier in an over the top videogame. Only thing that even suggested the "Ghosts" were so AMAZINGlySUPErFantasticAwesome KillerEliteMEgaSOldiERs. Was the damn narrator and loading screens. In short: Ghosts are normal soldiers doing nothing different, (well they can SLIDE) than any other of the super over the top soldiers in the Codfish series. Good for nothing more than mindless entertainment.
Was the part about their sh*t not stinking actually in the dialogue? If so, that's probably one of the reasons I avoid this franchise like the Chernobyl Zone of Alienation. It's not serious. I'd expect lines like, "The Ghosts were a force unmatched by those who came before them," not, "The Ghosts shit didn't stink, they were universal legends." It sounds like a really bad combination of a kids action show but with swear words. lol (Maybe I'm talking out of my ass on this one, but don't blame me; I can't stand this franchise, anymore).
