Sonic Lost World Review: Same Hedgehog, New Spin | For the Love of Gaming

Sonic Lost World is a good game, but lacks some of the polish that you get from an AAA platformer like Super Mario Galaxy. There are some insanely frustrating elements that can halt your enjoyment suddenly, but when Lost World shines you quickly forget the bad parts. If feels as if this is the first time we are getting something new from Sonic, and sometimes you get growing pains when you try new mechanics. (Sonic: Lost World, Wii U) 8/10

This game on the 3DS is utter garbage.

Friend of mine got the 3DS version. He said he almost threw his 3ds out the window.

Yup I blame dimps. I honestly never felt so robbed.

Ign gave 3Ds version a higher rating WHY? It's broken. You glitch through the ground sometimes, you lock onto crap u don't want to. It's slow, very slow actually to the poitn where it feels like a Mario game.

Also FULL of cheap deaths, and very little control over character. Also I found it actually hard to see where and what I'm supposed to do. It's a very unclear and just unfinished game.

Even the sonic model is off, and the 2D segements are worse! How do you screw up the 2D sonic?!!?!?!?

Uhhh, I already traded it back.

They should port Sonic Adventure 1/2 onto 3Ds or Vita imo. Those 2 rock.

This is exactly how I felt at the end of the game. Some things, like beating the last segment of the Lava Mountain stage, seemed to come out of nowhere. The first time I played the level, I just ran to the top and was surprised to learn that wasn't the goal. I actually had to look online to see you had to knock the blocks down on him. Really poor game design.

Ive not played the 3ds version but I'm loving the wiiu version I like the kind of Mario galaxy style levels mixed with the old style sonic games and not had any issue with the control on the wiiu but I could see id having issues on the 3ds maybe they should of just done a wiiu version.

I actually like the 3DS version more. The stages are longer, gameplay is easier to learn, there are more lives (so you don't have to replay all the stage from the beginning if you love some lives like in the Wii U version) and the emeralds are gotten through special stages instead of every Red Ring in every stage.
