Call of Duty: Ghosts' opening scene seems to have been lifted directly from the ending of Modern Warfare 2.
This is COD.. what do you expect? originality?
Seriously, I've learned to disregard Call of Duty instinctually by now. You'd think people would have expected as much after this: http://www.egmnow.com/artic...
This is the nail in the coffin to prove to the CoD fanboys that the franchise is all copy and paste since the beginning. Only the blind would deny that this isn't using the exact same animations from a game 3 years ago. I mean, if you love the gameplay, cool, but realize that you're paying a full $60 bucks for the same game every year with very few modifications. My advice, just buy it used at $20-30 down the line cause buying it new means you're agreeing that the copy and paste formula is accepted in the gaming industry. Good find on the person that spotted this. Incoming patch that modifies this piece to hide the truth...
10/10 must buy, game of the year
Lol, i thought the article meant plot wise, i didn't realise the animations would be exactly the same too. Wow.
LMAO!!!!! EXPOSED!!! how many more times must cod be exposed for re-using assets, animations, sounds, etc? WAKE UP YOU SHEEPLE!!!!
They been doing this for a while.
same engine, same game?
No CoD4 is a legendary game the others are not.
you have a point. i agree!
every year you find idiots trying to disect a COD game to find something the same..... im sure i can go threw many of game sequals and find the same animation and or cinematics so who cares.... still a great story..... how about showing all the new story line and epic moments from the game......
thats not the point, each year they release the same engine, every game your buying is just different textures and maps, now they are even copying gameplay segments lol
The point is, for the biggest game in gaming . . . they cut corners left and right. The amount of sales doesn't justify how lazy the IW releases of CoD are.
so wat who wouldnt cut corners to make time to detail something else... like a great story and amazing balanced multiplayer.......
Well said. @RealGamerSpeaks " who wouldnt cut corners to make time to detail something else" Don't play many other games, do you? A normal dev would take the time to detail EVERYTHING without cutting corners. I can understand being so protective over something you clearly love but cmon......give criticism where its due.
Nothing new... The same thing happen with Transformers Dark of the Moon and the movie the Island
No, no.... the Island had Jordan 2 Delta. I would love to do some copying and pasting with her.
lol who even buys this shit
People with low standards and bad taste, lol.
I know I'm basically buying a new map pack (and with the cool squads mode), but hell, this is just too much! I usually don't like the expression "lazy devs", but it's totally deserved in this case!
I'm not too surprised. They've been copy-pasting most of Modern Warfare 1's code for the last 6 years (and getting away with it), so this is pretty much standard fare.
That's all the do, copycats. Do something different for once
Wow.. exact same animations and cutscene. And MW2 looks better in terms of graphics.
^This... I don't get it, MW2 looks better for some reason. It's strange how could they go backwards in terms of texture detail and effects.
wow.. cod is just like madden, rinse and repeat thank god I stop at mw1...
oh, is this a new trend now or something? will the next Metal Gear have the ending of MGS 1 as an opening? yeah, have that 15 minute cut-scene rolling up
That is disgusting! I would feel ripped off if I had brought this on any system... Glad I didn't :P
Wow. I read the article title and I expected them to be somewhat similar, but they are EXACTLY THE SAME. *LMAO* 'Most Successful Entertainment Franchise in History', folks.
Crap game anyway
Rather than ripping CoD all the time, why don't you guys go play all the games you like so much better? We get it. You think COD is trash. Its the cool thing to do. But guess what? Most of us LOVE these games and don't give a crap about you losers crying about it every year. If you don't like it, fine. Don't play it and leave us alone.
Most of us were huge fans like you are back around the MW2 era of cod and we've been seeing this for that last 5 years. 5 YEARS! Can you blame us? And this isn't the first time they've done this. Whole buildings were reused as well as full game sequences like the sniping stealth sections of CoD2 and [email protected] This franchise has made billions and none of those billions are being funneled back into the game and it's blatantly obvious. Is it too much to ask to actually improve the game for the next gen? Improve the lag and broken hit boxes. Fix the problems that persist threw multiple generations on multiple platforms. Is that too much for the 4 devs comprised of enormous teams that rehash this game every year. All longtime fans want is for the game to evolve and and not stagnate. So no. We are not the problem. YOU are the problem for settling for mediocrity for the last 6 games. With evidence as plain as day right in front of you, you still call us haters and whiners for calling out bulls*** like this. Enjoy your ridiculously broken shooter...
Actually "most of us" are still playing it and liking it. It's only a FEW of you complaining. The game is surely not "ridiculously broken."
All the people moaning here about it are the same people getting a hard on about the ps4 version having a higher resolution. Y'all need to make up your minds
lol if they can reuse engine ingame assets are not safe from the copy and paste
Another year of copy and paste from the new crappy infinite wards
It's just the easiest way to say that the story is not over and Ghosts 2 will be there. No need to throw your breakfest at them.
CoD players need to wake up and admit that they're idiots for playing these games.
COD COD COD COD MORE COD PLEASSEEEEE WE WANT MOREeeee foreverrrrr COD
