Wish BF4 came to Wii U instead of this :[

Looks great even though its not 1080p let alone 720p. I dunno why it isn't, doesn't the Wii U only need 18mb of Edram for a 1080p frame-rate buffer? All I know is, is that this looks great. Thanks Activision.

Texture resolution and shading detail are still higher than the last gen versions though.

This has more to do with Activision just being cheap on porting than the Wii U's strength. Splint Cell had no problem doing higher resolutions than the PS3/360 version of the game ontop of a higher, more stable frame rate on top of outputting to as second screen in 480p widescreen.

I mean, even Battlefield 4 looks great on PS3 and Xbox 360. Why this looks SO BAD?

To be honest I think bf4 on Xbox360/ps3 puts all versions of ghost to shame. I mean there are so many destructive elements that even next gen ghost doesn't have. Other than that it looks like a good port.

Nintendo needs to make another 'next-gen' console.

SlapHappyJesus1413d ago

It's been a year, leave the damn thing alone already. Wait for the exclusives at this point. We know the system is underpowered by comparison. That's not going to stop Nintendo from releasing fantastic games for it.

The Wii and PS2 were weak systems in their day. They still had great content on offer.

For the past 5 generations, the weakest consoles have sold the most. Say hi to the NES, SNES, PSX, PS2, Wii, DS and the still-going-strong 3DS.

Specs don't make a system. Games do.

How many people do you REALLY think buy a console because it has XYZ amounts of RAM, or a super-powerful graphics card? You only need to - really - worry about that kind of stuff if you're buying a PC.

Nevertheless; with games like Trine 2, X, Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros. 4, Super Mario 3D World, Need for Speed Most Wanted U, Pikmin 3 and Sonic Lost World already gracing the system - I believe the Wii U has a bright future ahead, in terms of producing some beautiful games.

If Wii is anything to go by; doesn't necessarily matter how much less power you have compared to the competition. It's how you adapt to the available hardware and really try and use it - is what matters. Skyward Sword, Sonic Colors, Mario Galaxy 1-&-2, Fishing Resort (Google it), Go Vacation, and Wii Sports Resort - are good examples of that.
