GR - "Haha! Didn’t expect to see Darcy did you? Why is he here? We’ll get to that. Look, everyone and their dog has written about the PlayStation 4’s new DualShock controller by now."
I've been comparing my newly received DS4 to my 360 controllers and the DS4 is much much more comfortable and it's got a touch pad too. Easily the best pad coming to the market.
I like how we Americans call it a controller and everyone else calls it a pad haha
I can't stand playstation controllers. DS4 is the selling point. If it feels even close to as good as my 360 controller I'm getting a PS4.
It's definitely better than the 360's it feels great!!!
i got disagrees for saying "funny"...
I was an Xbox gamer for the past two generations and thought the 360 stick was awesome. Over the past week or so of owning the Dual Sock 4 and doing a comparison between the two... I truly believe the Dual Shock 4 is now the best stick on the market. It's the perfect weight, perfect tension in the sticks and buttons... and it looks gorgeous. I really don't think there's much more anyone could ask for in a gamepad. It seems sturdy enough to play the best first-person shooters, and accurate enough to play the best real-time strategy games. Everything in between should be stellar. Less than a week and a half to go, until gaming bliss. I cant wait!
Yeah I just got hands on with the dual shock 4 wow theres no more to say. The ps4 just got that much better in my eyes. I can say its better than the 360 controller but to be fair I didn't try the Xbox1 as of yet.
I think it may always be a preference thing, although the DS4 did pull some of my favourite features from the xbox controller (concave joysticks and more weight). Hyped to see how the touchpad plays out for menu and OS navigation as well as the light bar's functions as an indicator and a move peripheral. It's almost here!
The Original Xbox controller, nicknamed "The Duke", was huge. Too large for many gamers hands. They, not long after launch, created a smaller controller that more closely resembled what was to come in the 360 controller. Most people consider the 360 controller to be the best ever made. And up until this point, I agreed. The DS4 just feels better in my hands compared to its 360 counterpart. It is a tiny bit longer, but less wide. The tension in the thumbsticks is almost exact to the 360 controller. Though the 360 controller seems to have more tension in the triggers, which some may or may not prefer. The biggest and best inclusion has to be the touchpad. The beauty of this feature, that most people don't realize quite yet, is that for games like real-time strategies and others where people may prefer a mouse, PlayStation 4 owners will have an option to mimic that motion. Not only that, we can also mimic the motion of throwing a grenade by sliding our thumb up and across the pad. Giving us more precise control over where we throw it. It will be very interesting to see how each developer uses these added functions on the DS4. Adding more precise control over how we play our games. The future is near.
same boat man been playin with my dualshock 4 as well it really just fits in your hand smoothly very impressed with it and I haven't touched a dualshock controller since 1999.
The DS4 does look and feel slick, my experience with it was very positive and I can't wait to actually own it come the 15th.
Ive been holding this baby for a week now, and I can confirm its very comfy and slick. The sticks are perfect, no more slippery thumbs
I completely agree. At first it was weird having my thumbs be so stuck to the sticks but then I got used to it and its awesome. I also love the texture on the part of the body that comes into contact with you're hands.
Looking forward in trying the Xbone controller. Bought the Ds4 a couple of days ago and really enjoying the improvements.
Just got my ps4 games delivered. Why why would you send my games so early this is wrong. I have to look at these games for 10 days and can't play. I'm so hurt right now sorry for venting
