Mark Rubin Explains COD ID's Platform Hopping Profiles And Manufacturer Limitations

TSA writes: "Now, we’ve known about this feature for a little while, but have been chasing after specific details [...] which we finally got from Mark Rubin, Ghosts’ Executive Producer, at the Ghosts review event last week. In particular, we wondered how platform agnostic COD IDs might be, and if you could hop from PlayStation to Xbox.

"Mark Rubin replied, 'It’s within the console family, and the two first parties don’t want that kind of thing. Think of it as you having one Xbox profile and one PlayStation profile, and it then doesn’t matter which system you’re on within those families.'" (Call of Duty: Ghosts, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
