Guerilla use FXAA + TMAA now, will dig deeper in a future publication, but it does complement each other..
As long as they don't use something like QAA I'm fine with it. Nexus 7 2013
Whatever trivial reason that has you take the time to type out "Nexus 7 2013" each time you comment, has me disregard your opinion on practically any and every topic. IMO, it brings about serious question towards what you consider worth-while, important, and an utter waste of time and energy. And, before anyone asks - yes - this keeps me up at night :p
You ever think maybe he's typing it from a Nexus 7 phone and it automatically adds that at the end?
You disregard my opinions because I'm an android user. Well to bad here's another. Nexus 7 2013
I can remember you having "MOTOROLA RAZR" at the end of your comments too. And as someone mentioned below (and I figured out after googling) - you would still have to manually set your phone to having such a signature. (Which is only slightly less irrational) There is no way modern phones add signatures to every text box, without you explicitly telling it to.
It does seem awfully silly.. Who cares what phone or mobile OS anyone is using here of all places? Its like putting the model of car or amplifier or toaster or something. And of course it doesn't "automatically add it", unless he's set it up to do that for him. Which would be no less silly than manually typing it. Nexus 7s don't randomly add their own name at the bottom of every text entry box, and he did this with his previous phone too. (Moto razr something) It is definitely 100% his own choice and doing. Imagine if you did it in normal conversation.. "Here are my opinions.... But now, appreciate my choice of phone!" - crazy.
The Motorola RAZR I is my phone but ever since I got my tablet (Nexus 7) I've been using it to post on N4G. Meh if you don't like my signature just report me to a mod and get me banned. But your can't do that because I'm not violating the TOS. Ha ha ha ha Nexus 7 2013
@MasterCornholio In the words of Jesse Pinkman, "He can't keep getting away with this!!!!!" I will be filing a complaint on the basis of emotional distress causing insomnia. /s ;)
"And of course it doesn't "automatically add it", unless he's set it up to do that for him." Actually my old Motorola did automatically add it. Never knew or really cared enough to see if I could switch it off since I never posted from it much, but it did do it automatically without me having to switch it "on". Not sure about the Nexus 7 since I don't use one.
Has anyone thought to think there is the possibility that the tag is added to any site he comments on? Ex; Facebook, other Social media.
@Battle the fact that this bothers you, does not make you any better lol, but kudos for pointing it out, Ive always questioned MC as well. I thought I was the only one noticing this. I still dont think you should disregard his opinion because he chooses to sign after each post, also you sound very lazy if you think that takes too much effort/time. Its really easy actually Iphone 5S 2013 See...
You are acting as if that sentence killed your family or something and that you spend every waking moment plotting your revenge.
@cell989 How long did it take you to properly capitalize the "5S" on your iPhone? Don't lie. ;)
@sorane.. How come only your and cornholio's android devices are adding this most useless piece of information to forum replies, yet nobody else's? You don't think posting from android devices is hugely common here? Wouldn't it be more widespread? Across the whole web? It really starts off every text entry field with the name of your phone already entered? Or magically adds it after you press send? Neither make sense. It happens in emails on android and iPhones. I cant find a single mention online of this behaviour for phones posting to webpages. I'll believe it if you prove it, even cornholio didn't claim it was automatic. The web would be full of people wanting to turn that feature OFF - if you hadn't just made it up. IPhone 5 16GB black
Wow I never thought my signature would get me so much attention. Lol @mixelon Wow I didn't know I was trolling N4G with my signature. This is so much fun. :D Nexus 5 (not yet!!!) Nexus 7 2013
@BattleTorn : " Whatever trivial reason that has you take the time to type out "Nexus 7 2013" each time you comment, has me disregard your opinion on practically any and every topic" I don't understand why that would bother anyone unless you big fan of competing OS (which is absolutely fine) Ubuntu 13.10

Does anyone know what TMAA is? Seems no one even knows on Neogaf.
Could you imagine this game with MSAA? Either way fxaa is fine, and better than what you get with the bone.
So, according to Google, FXAA is "Fast approximate anti-aliasing" and TMAA is "Texas Music Adjudicators Association". can't wait to see how the later is used... /joke But yeah, waiting for the Tech people to explain more
TMAA is basically MSAA. TMAA is basically used for static things in the scene, or transparent things and generally uses another AA is used for 3D objects. So Walls, floors, ceilings, trees, glass etc... are probably using TMAA, while weapons, characters, and anything else in motion are using FXAA. Environment: TMAA Everything Else: FXAA I even had to look that one up, I never seen it described as TMAA.
You sir just won the internet.
I personally like FXAA, but what's TMAA?
Too Much AA?
They are both shitty form of AA :/ low performance hit, but blurry mess all around.
Lies as I said above TMAA is = MSAA
inb4 member of the PC master race cites that he was doing 16x AA at full HD 3 years ago.
I was doing 16xMSAA full HD 3 years ago
Thanks for sharing. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to overcoming it. At least you never progressed to the harder stuff..........
yeah on World of Warcraft. Nobody cares.
Hey, didn't you guys notice: that was Sarcasm.
You probably also spelled boobs on your calculator in high school :-)
You guys sure can't take a joke
txaa would have been cool, but i think that's nvidia exclusive?
FXAA is what you're talking about and it's supported by NVIDIA for every developer
No he is right. TXAA is a Nvida anti aliasing solution.
He's right about TXAA being made by NVIDIA But FXAA is also created by them as well. Its pipeline is widely available for Consoles which is why GG used it in Shadow Fall. I dont think Nvidia has made TXAA at availible to consoles just yet but there's talks that they'll make it available in the future I dont think it was ready for the console laucnh
Didn't understand a word... LOL. Only thing I know is that KillZone Shadow Fall is looking GREAT!!!
Aliasing is what we call "Jaggies" when the lines look like little staircases. Anti aliasing makes it harder to see jagged lines in games but it requires ram, and the higher the quality of AA (Anti Aliasing) the more ram it's going to need and that can be a problem because it might interfere with other things like: resolution, graphics settings. FXAA (fast approximate anti aliasing) doesn't use any ram; it uses the stream processors in the GPU (graphics processing unit) This allows developers to have more freedom with the available ram and thus they can raise the resolution and other features a little bit more. PS4 just so happens to have 1152 stream processors (384 more than the next competitor) And so the developers can use those for gpu compute (Physics simulation, soft body physics(The Order 1886) and ridiculous particle effects just like nvidia turbulence.) These things have barely been touched and that's why everybody who is going to be purchasing a next gen console should be very excited. GREATNESS AWAITS
Wow! thank you so much! that was an AWESOME explanation. ;)
Have a bubble for a intelligent explanation.
That footage was smooth and flawless that was just posted for download... FXAA and TMAA in worked out quite well... Also, TMAA is a in house Sony Developed AA solution that utilizes many of the techniques of MSAA and MLAA. I believe from the post mortem of the Feb reveal Demo, that they said they'd fully use TMAA for the final version of the game, but it seems the tech itself wasn't complete so they opted to do a combination of Nvidia's FXAA and Sony's Near Final TMAA. I'm excited for this game. GG is doing a fantastic job with this game!
interesting, thanks for the info
Killzone mercenary was awesome, I'm hopeful for shadowfall.
I actually don't like AA at all. It makes ever thing look blurry to me. I always turn it when I play on my PC.
well i hate jaggies, and fxaa is better than nothing.
I'd take nothing over that blur filter.
I am assuming this is a troll comment.
No it's my opinion.
And just to let people know. I'll be getting Killzone Shadow day one. Just because I'm not a fan of AA doesn't mean I'm not a fan of the game.
That's not always the case, it really depends on th AA technique used
KZSF looks great. My GOTY for PS4.
I google what TMAA means, and didn't find much info about it. But I read on one site that Sony created TMAA - BKA (TOO much anti-aliasing) sounds interesting...
It's basically MSAA, but specifically used for environments and transparent objects.
Oh I see. Let me explain to those who don't understand: I haven't got a clue what the hell this means. I hope that helped.
You and me. I don't have a clue what it means but if I make an educated guess...I would say it means Sony found a way to use more anti-aliasing in a more efficient way.
Dammit...let me out of this boat!!! Seems we are brothers of technological ignorance....hmmm...that sounded nice. When's the first meeting? I'll bring the chips and salsa!!!
Its like Geometry. Once they start adding letters to math I just nod and feel stupid.
A guess that could obviously be wrong: TMAA = Temporal Morphological Anti Aliasing
Lol, a great guess, but It's a Sony in-house AA, it isn't 100% finalized, which is Why GG used a combination of the Nvidia's FXAA and Sony's New TMAA
Nah it's Totally Magical Anti Aliasing
All I need to know is it looks awesome.
