Over the last few weeks, a lot has been made about the graphical disparity between multiplatform games running on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In the middle of the dispute sits, of course, Call of Duty: Ghosts.
It sure does. In more ways than one.
Corse it matters it's amazing how bias sites like forbes, Engadget etc are what does it take for them to stop putting a spin on everything to aid Microsoft? Microsoft are putting out a considerably weaker console at a higher price and I've read articles stating power doesn't matter? the same sites that crushed ps3 when it came to multiplats this gen has even started and already we have one site (digital foundry) fixing comparison game coverage to help xbone then when caught out they blame the camera?? we have the countless spins from Microsoft and then them using PC footage but putting an xbox one banner to deceive Albert and the rest of the funky bunch completely lying to us about resolution or lack thereof.. wtf is going on with all this cover ups for Microsoft? is their advertising revenue that powerful and dependant...
What is better than great gameplay? Great gameplay with high graphics. It is simple as that. I do not see why fanboys try to cover this up.
dude wake up.
What?? Someone agrees power makes a difference..... I thought I had just been transported to an alternate dimensions where everything meant the opposite. Hopeful this can put things in perspective for those who need more proof than others.
I want more gaming quality for my money, so yes
strange thing is, compared to the XB1 the PS4 gives you more gaming quality for less money
It's interesting to see this much of a difference this early on. Clearly devs are having issues working around the various bottlenecks in the XB1 architecture. The system should be more than capable to take a game like CoD and display it much higher than 720p. 1st party games like Forza are being shown at 1080p/60fps so it's interesting to see the struggles from other devs. Looks like it could be a reversal of roles this time around where the PS4 will be extremely easy to develop for and devs will have to make work-arounds for the XB1 architecture...
I know, i actually thought we would see differences LATER on in the gen when devs have got used to the hardware some more. But differences showing at the start of a gen? The gap can only get bigger from here on....
Racing Games are much easier to make run @1080p 60fps much less detail and textures needed compared to other genres of games hence why a racing game is the only title on xbox1 confirmed running 1080p 60fps. Racing game suck to benchmark what hardware can do!
Well it must not matter too much since games on XBO running at 720 look better than games on PS4 running at 1080p, I couldn't believe it when I saw that.
Based on what crappy down sampled YouTube videos ? , YouTube butchers the quality of videos , in those comparison videos the xbox1 looked better then both PC and PS4, all the reviewers said the PC and PS4 version looked much better then the xbox1 version!
The reviewers, much like yourself, are delusional, trust your eyes, not what a bunch of xbox hating Sony hacks say in reviews. You cant trust anyone bashing XBO these days, everyone knows Xbox bashing gets hits on websites.
And I can't believe you still have five bubbles.
He has five bubbles because the "Power of the Cloud" is everywhere!
Which game is it? We would all love to know. @WeAreLegion Just another troll account. For a fact people make them to talk smack without the fear of hurting their real account on N4G.
Lol. I made a second account once. They deleted the account and banned me for a week for making a second account.
@Strikepackage Bravo No, you haven't seen it, you've never seen the gameplay of both the PS4 and XB1 running right in front of your eyes, direct from the consoles. Until you do, don't make that statement. You've seen crappy sampled YouTube videos which you probably weren't even watching at 1080p, yet that still won't make a difference as raw footage direct from the console is what you actually need to make a clear judgement.
What did you exactly saw?! Xbox one BF4 MP ( Floodzone) http://www.youtube.com/watc... Ps4 Bf4 MP ( Floodzone ) http://www.youtube.com/watc... So and now what? Did i made you cry?! im sorry.. /s You were comparing a video with 2 compressed images and now you can see the jaggies on the x720 and textures etc
Someone give strikepackage bravo a pillow and a hug, he needs a nap his delusions are running away with him. Or give him a swift kick in the ass, either way.
The denial runs deep in this one.
the PS4's software scaling to 1080p leaves a blurry after-taste, whereas the Xbox One stays sharp --albeit with more jagged edges. As you may notice in our screengrabs, the actual results on PS4 lack the corresponding level of crystal clarity we'd expect of such a significant resolution boost. This should surely be a home run for Sony's console, but what is likely to be a software-based upscale to 1080p delivers less-than-stellar returns, and for better or worse leaves the Xbox One with an often crisper looking, albeit much more aliased image. its the one and only game running less then 1080p on the ps4 and its seems the ps4 doesn't upscale very well, but all 1080p games on the ps4 will be pin sharp compared to 720p upscaled
its actually a hardware-based upscaler, Yoshida confirmed that. Your just delusional
@Nekroo91 my comment is about bf4 and this video on youtube, and yes I know that sony said there upscaler was hardware-based, regardless of hardware or software based its not working very well for this game http://www.youtube.com/watc... I was curious my self why the ps4 footage didn't look as sharp, and the above quote was from an article, which to me seems like a logical answer,
@ Strike Hey at least theres one guy out there that agrees with your nonsensical statements. haha gtfo.
Strikepackage Bravo Trust your eyes your fanboy mind is lying to yourself... http://i.minus.com/ib0gOrDz...
lol you're kidding right....
Indeed it does. Only delusional fools would think otherwise.
Well it seems its more about developers and software when the differences in power are so slight. Maybe we are just witnessing "lazy developers" at work on XBO. Although again, that DF footage proves that on XBO the games actually look better.
"proves that on XBO the GAMES actually look better." Which GAMES are you talking about? Http://cdn.memegenerator.ne...
Oh are you speaking of the Digital Foundry article that they issued a retraction on and then a retraction to their retraction? That sounds like a super reliable source you have there.
@strikepackagebravo DF ?? What game is that a short form for ? And you obviously don't know what the bottleneck is on XBO or you would know why developers are having a hard time making XBO titles equal to PS4 , and I'm not even referring to XBO weak GPU , the major bottleneck is the 8GB DDR3 + 32MB eSRAM. The 32MB eSRAM is not big enough to handle the textures for 1080p and maintain 60fps which is why they solve this by using 720p.. 10MB of eDram worked on 360 because they only had 512mb or ram..
http://www.youtube.com/watc... After seeing this no matter what you people say, its clear that kids on the internet dont understand how specs relate to game development, XBO looks better, period. EDIT: Im convinced that lowering resolution actually allows XBO to render the games with higher quality, the PS4 footage is blurred in comparison to XBOs, it could also be Microsofts development tools or the XBOs slightly more advanced version of DirectX
Honestly, you have no idea what you are talking about. It is quite funny to see you claim expertise where none exists. 'its clear that kids on the internet dont understand how specs relate to game development' Damn straight, you are one of them.
