Change "ScrEnshots" to "ScrEEnshots"

FlameHawk1839d ago

Nothing next-gen about this game, if it was SO next-gen then why is it possible on current gen consoles.

TheOneWhoIsTornApart1839d ago

It is being designed for current gen systems first and foremost and then ported to next gen systems. Why can't people understand this?.

Tolten961839d ago

Because most people are idiots and can't tell what the difference between 720p and 1080p is, and Current Gen and Next Gen.

FlameHawk1839d ago

Lol why can't you people understand, its common sense, by developing for 7-8 year old hardware, they are limiting themselves to 7-8 year old hardware for the next-gen systems because they wan't both versions to be equal and I'm not talking about graphics, I'm talking about what goes on the screen, what new things they will try with the next-gen system, which they won't because as you said, its being developed for current gen. LOL its funny because even you said its being designed for current gen systems first and then ported to next gen. Do you think if they were developing for just the next gen systems, it would be the same?

Sarcasm1839d ago

Actually it is designed to be scalable regardless of the hardware.

However I do hate that approach. I wish they just focus on making a new engine that is only possible on better hardware.

Didn't you see the Fox Engine showcase? They should it rendering damn near real life character models of Big Boss in the Konami office, not to mention the room tech demo where they 99% replicated a real life image to the extent it was almost indistinguishable. I fail to see how that capability ON TOP of allowing current gen owners to play their games is bad thing.

It's a brand new engine that's built to both utilise the power of next gen hardware, but flexible and optimised enough so that current gen can take part too.

That's the way it's going to be for maybe the first year since not every single PS3/360 user will be immediately making the next gen jump. You can't just give the finger to tens of millions of console owners and not cater to them for at least a year to allow them time to catch up.

That's just bad for business and gamers who aren't lucky enough to be able to afford new systems at launch.

Nobody EVER said it was a next gen game dude.

Kojima developed the Fox Engine to run on as many machines as possible. It was the whole purpose of making it. It won't run at full detail on everything, but run.

You could see the engine on phones if he wanted to do that.... It was made to work on Vita at least.
