Nothing next-gen about this game, if it was SO next-gen then why is it possible on current gen consoles.
It is being designed for current gen systems first and foremost and then ported to next gen systems. Why can't people understand this?.
Because most people are idiots and can't tell what the difference between 720p and 1080p is, and Current Gen and Next Gen.
Lol why can't you people understand, its common sense, by developing for 7-8 year old hardware, they are limiting themselves to 7-8 year old hardware for the next-gen systems because they wan't both versions to be equal and I'm not talking about graphics, I'm talking about what goes on the screen, what new things they will try with the next-gen system, which they won't because as you said, its being developed for current gen. LOL its funny because even you said its being designed for current gen systems first and then ported to next gen. Do you think if they were developing for just the next gen systems, it would be the same?
Actually it is designed to be scalable regardless of the hardware. However I do hate that approach. I wish they just focus on making a new engine that is only possible on better hardware.
@Sarcasm Didn't you see the Fox Engine showcase? They should it rendering damn near real life character models of Big Boss in the Konami office, not to mention the room tech demo where they 99% replicated a real life image to the extent it was almost indistinguishable. I fail to see how that capability ON TOP of allowing current gen owners to play their games is bad thing. It's a brand new engine that's built to both utilise the power of next gen hardware, but flexible and optimised enough so that current gen can take part too. That's the way it's going to be for maybe the first year since not every single PS3/360 user will be immediately making the next gen jump. You can't just give the finger to tens of millions of console owners and not cater to them for at least a year to allow them time to catch up. That's just bad for business and gamers who aren't lucky enough to be able to afford new systems at launch.
Nobody EVER said it was a next gen game dude.
Kojima developed the Fox Engine to run on as many machines as possible. It was the whole purpose of making it. It won't run at full detail on everything, but run. You could see the engine on phones if he wanted to do that.... It was made to work on Vita at least.
True True True
The detail is amazing.
The game looks like it received a slight downgrade in the graphics department. UI looks nice though.
This idea is stupid he should just bring the entire game at once
I'm not convinced this game(s) needs or needed to be split up. I guess we'll find out more later, but I can't see myself buying ground zeroes for 30 bucks if it's only a few hours of content. I would probably wait till phantom pain was ready and see if they packaged the two together, or pick up ground zeroes on the cheap somewhere if they don't.
I'm game! I'll buy both no issues, and if their is a limited edition I'll buy that too! MGS is my weakness when it comes to them raping my wallet lol
Im with you pal who cares about medman
I'm waiting for tax season to pick up a PS4 so i don't go completely broke but, I was just talking a friend at work and if it was releasing in December I would break the bank for it. MGS for life!
I can't wait to play this game, a new metal gear game to start the next gen (don't care if its just the prologue).....sweet.
The world calls for wet work, and we answer it. No greater good, no just cause.
