DC Universe Online Confirmed as PS4 Launch Title

Hardcore Gamer: Great news for those who want to take up a virtual online life as The Joker or Batman, but want to do it on consoles, as it was announced today that DC Universe Online will be launching alongside the PS4 in North American on November 15, 2013 (DC Universe Online, PS4)

This is big news for PS4 fans. A good game that is not on Xbox.

While I agree it's anything, but bad news... no need to knock the Xbox.
Bigpappy  +   669d ago
Are you serious? You think I am knocking Xbox? I know you are not serious. You just want to disagree with me. That's cool. Got it.

Xbox1 has plenty launch titles that aren't coming to PS4. That is one of the reasons that X1 has a lot of support. That and its large feature set. so there is that. I am sure PS4 fans are happy with this as a launch title they will have with their new console. I which we had this game on X1, but it will not affect my purchase.

He's not knocking XBox. He's trolling PS4. Recently he claimed that Killzone AI doesn't use cover, so that will give you some idea what kind of "gamer" he is.

wonder why this article ain't making top of page. Been reading comments by troll how its been delayed left and right. Now that its debunked out of a sudden no one cares?

It's a good game to be sure, but this writer sounds like he never played the game because you don't play as the joker or Batman, you make your own character that at the most can resemble them and/or you can be mentored by them.
Skate-AK  +   669d ago
I am pretty sure they have a heroes/villains PvP where you can be actual DC characters.
pixelsword  +   669d ago
They do, but that's not playing as them (as as being defined as "to the same degree"), or as he said: "take up a virtual online life" as either one.

They're just skins, with no virtual online life. You can't make a character and play as batman to the same degree or do the same things as your character in all places, so therefore he's wrong.

To be fair it's also on PC.

And will still NEVER be on Xbox. But then, he was trolling the PlayStation, so quoting him with that was pointless, anyway.

OT: Played it on PS3 and enjoyed it! May have to check it out, at some point, on PS4.

What you said is pointless too because xbox owners can still play it just like PS4 owners can still play Titanall on PC.

"xbox owners" ?

No

"GAMING PC OWNERS"

YES

It doesn't matter if you have an xbox so saying "xbox owners" makes no sense. The xbox can not play this game. A person that owns a gaming pc can and if they happen to ALSO own an xbox then that's just that. There is no correlation.

ANYONE can play the game, just as long as they've got hardware that will allow them to play it and no xbox qualifies.

Dude there are a TON of great games coming to PS4 that aren't on Xbox. FF14 Arr being a huge one that's also going to be there at launch. There's a large number of F2P games in addition to this one anyway, Warframe being one of the most action heavy. War Thunder for the shooter fans. Resogun free with PS+, and a ton of indie titles too.

Funny how you're trying to talk so condescending when we're in a better boat than you :/

Btw, this isn't new news, we were told DCU Online was coming over at launch about a month ago.
Also, what's up with the lack of MMOs on the X1? Is MS against them or what, it can't just be the not wanting to share servers with PC gamers thing could it?

I downloaded the PS3 version last Christmas on a whim and enjoyed it enough to feel that the devs deserved some money, so I bought two of the DLCs. Looking forward to playing the PS4 version.

Been playing the PS3 version a ton lately and I can't wait to play this on the PS4.

According to certain fanboys in the TitanFall article. Since this game is also on PC. Doesn't that make it a Microsoft PC exclusive?

I'm confused/
cyntell  +   669d ago
Can't wait. I've been making new characters to use just for the PS4 experience.
