Destructoid- Review: WWE 2K14

DT:Each and every year since the beginning of the Smackdown series, I return home from a midnight release, lace up the boots, put on my mask, and start my journey to be the greatest superstar to ever step into the ring. Every year, I seem to be pleased by some aspects, and baffled by others. (PS3, WWE 2K14, Xbox 360) 9/10

LOL...a game which like any other sport game comes out every year 9/10

Batman Arkham Origins 3/10

Yeah I don't think so, I think Batman Origins is a step back for the franchise and all but that was wrong. 7/10 but certainly not 3.

I know, I know different reviewers and all but come on, you have to have to come together so this sort of thing doesn't happen

Oh... I missed WWE 2k13. What was that like? ;)

The same as WWE 12 which was like WWE 11 and in turn was like WWE 10.
WeAreLegion  +   169d ago
No. I said WWE 2k13...not WWE 13. This is the first 2k wrestling game. Different developer.

actually 12 was pretty different from 11 but nice try. play them before you comment

also, different reviewers. some people arent bothered by yearly updated titles. some are. clearly jim sterling is, this guy isnt.

im not bothered by them either. if there is a year between titles then i accept more of the same. the devs/publishers just need to be careful with doing that kind of cycle and every 3 years or so have a major update. thats what wwe did with 12, then 13 and 14 are more updates and i expect 15 to be a fresher take

Dosen't make a difference, 2k are just taking over from THQ who went under. It's like COD with Activision, you have two developers who make COD but they are still all the same

No. They are different games. Try them. I don't like wrestling, but I like wrestling games.

no it wasn't....

I feel like people who complain about sports games are people who don't actually play them.

O and this isn't really a sports game although with 2k now in charge, it could be set up like one...which could be a good thing.

sorta agree with you. 2K is taking over now. I expect to see some major changes in this game in the coming years especially on next gen. Just compare Nba for current gen vs next gen and you will see some major differences. I really hope they give development to a new studio because until I am not getting these games
