Looks great in motion
i never would have thought I'd see the day a 2k Sports game visually outperforms an EA title. NBA LIVE returns this year but i have a feeling it wont be back for next.
You're joking, right?
ever since the beginning of nba 2k..its always looked better than nba live
no offense but what a stupid comment
y'all need to stop acting like EA aint have the best graphics for their sports titles year after year especially compared to 2k.
Where have you been the last 3-4 years?
Live always had the best graphics... 2k had the gameplay yeah live players looks skinny but the textures and face models look better than 2k
Looking forward to this one.
Wow, the little animation details really add a sense of realism.
Definitely agree with the Fight Night appeal, I skipped NBA games since 2K10, but I might just pick this up for the sheer fact that it looks amazing.
I too got what they meant with the reference to fight night, when that game came out it blew my mind, this seems to be doing the same, I'd like to see a new fight night on next gen consoles btw, that'd be awesome, sadly it was shelved for UFC....
Not a huge step up Again 1080p 60fps on xb1 And the fanboys say xb1 can't do it - laughable
I suggest that you should just appreciate the game. Instead of trying to bait people... Just a suggestion.
go home fanboy
"Not a huge step up" Yeah, there is a reason you only have one bubble. OT: Yes, the Fight Night appeal is here and real! Damn!
Cant wait this is a day 1 purchase with my xbox.
I'm loving it. I'm gonna try and get this for Xmas or Black Friday.
Sports titles usually get a big reduction during Black Friday. However, I don't know if the next-gen ones will this year...with the launch being so close to Thanksgiving and all.
its looks great but did anyone else notice at 01:10 how when the video shows the guys on the bench the black guys legs goes through the other team mates leg, i mean this is next gen for god sake all the quirks should be removed. i know its nit picking but come on with all the tools the developers now have leave all the bad habits last gen.
Just further proof that all this hype about next gen is just that...hype! I dont buy into it anymore. All these terms they use to describe how much better things will be and they still havent fixed the little stuff. Im tired of companies trying to sell potential instead of actual advancement. I dont give a damn what they can do with the system in 2-5 years, what are you doing with it now that makes me want to shell out the money for it. I feel bad for the people who still fall for this stuff because I used to be one of them and I got burned several times in the past. PS3 launch sucked bad and I went through 4 damn 360s around launch last gen. Eff that!
Have you ever thought about the fact that every single developer out there is now LEARNING how to develop for these new consoles? When the PS3 launched, you wouldn't have expected them to release an Uncharted 3 caliber game, right? And you really should not judge the PS4 and its capabilities based on 2K's basketball game. Have you seen them on the PS3? They're not exactly a graphical powerhouse. This game still looks pretty darn good and I'm excited to see how the next installments, 2K15, 2K16 and so on, will look.
I can't wait to purchase this day one with my <insert preferred system here to get attention>!
Ehhh... looks good but not "I need to spend $400-$500 on a new system for this" good. I predict next year's sports titles to make the difference and make me want to take the plunge. Not biting this time around. Next year they will have had time to implement new stuff and actually take advantage of the new platforms. Im saving my money for the awesome deals on next gen hardware that I am sure they will have next year during the holidays.
I wouldn't spend $400-$500 on a system for just one game anyway. That, imo, would be a waste. However, taken with the sum of what is and will be available for the next-gen consoles. I'd say graphically it looks awesome. I do agree that these games will be much better next year when they have learned some new tricks and had some more time.
Which is why it is easy for me to wait. Dont get me wrong, I am very excited about the Ps4 and Xbone, but I dont see enough right now that makes me feel like I am missing out by waiting. I just have so many games in my backlog that I havent given the time of day yet and I am really interested in what Nintendo is offering on the wii U, so I can be patient. I am also burned out on a lot of the series being offered on both systems at launch. Killzone looks amazing, as does Dead Rising and Forza, but I am honestly getting kinda bored with those franchises and want something new and a little different. Once they show whats coming next year and get some games out I will be getting one or the other. If sony does a bundle with Infamous I likely wont be able to hold out anymore and will snag a ps4, but thats really the only next gen game that has my attention at this point. Everything else kinda looks like more of the same just prettier and is likely the same thing as the 360/ps3 version.
Completely understand!!! I was on the fence for awhile, but just decided to jump in and grab one. I'll keep my current system and just get what I want for now.
Looks great!!! However 2k still hasn't figured out how to get the jerseys to lay on the shoulders of the players... Minor I know, but still...
looks better than Ghost
I don't even play sports games, but this has my eye. I would definitely give it a try. When a developer puts a lot of detail in a game like this, you know they care.
They are still transferring from this gen to next so expect 2k15 to have a huge leap..
for real. I really cant wait to see what the 2015 sports lineup looks like. I wish 2K would take a shot at a next gen NHL game. Im getting bored with EA's series but there isnt anything to compete. I understand 2K sticking with what they do best with NBA, but they still released a crappy MLB game so they should at least attempt an NHL game again.
Actually in the video they said its a new engine and not a port
yea but the amount of time spent on this engine for the ps4 has to have lead to some short comings..i think 2k15 will be a big improvement
I live in Norwich in England so I don't see a lot of Basketball although I do really like it. This looks like the TV coverage I have seen. I am stunned at how good this looks. I know a Basketball game isn't going to stretch a piece of hardware very much but this is so far ahead of the next gen FIFA for example it is slightly embarassing for EA and their new engine. They have work to do.
EA are money hats and will do insignificant upgrades in hopes to get your money. I'm going all PES next gen. That fox engine will shine with the next PES title
I haven`t play NBA games alot. But this looks very interesting! Amazing body motion and the graphics are good.
I wish WWE 2K14 looked like this. Wow.
It's not just about the hardware. Visual concepts is just flat out the best when it comes to sports. No other sports games can touch their presentation. They are the reason that EA went and bought out the NFL license. EA knows that madden would be toast if 2k ever came out with another football game.
