Triverse writes, "Anyone that is a fan of turn based strategy titles and the owner of either an iOS device or Android device will probably be familiar with Rubicon Development. Rubicon created a turn based strategy war game called Great Big War Game and some other titles. Now, they are taking a stab at the fantasy realm with Combat Monsters."
Adam Lloyd writes: "Combat Monsters is what would happen if Magic: The Gathering fell clumsily into bed with Chaos Reborn: a blend of tactical grid-based combat with collectible cards. Originally designed as a free-to-play mobile game back in 2013, Combat Monsters has now been ported to the PC, with all of the trappings in place of its previous iteration."
If they were that lazy with the port, you may as well play a console game on an emulator rather than shell out for this.
Corrupted Cartridge says: "There are a lot of free-to-play games out there, and while most of them try to milk concepts already perfected – there are some who actually try to renew a genre now and then. Rubicon have tried to make Combat Monsters into one of those games that takes a well known concept, and tries to make something that feels fresh. Have they succeeded?"
If you’re a fan of turn-based tactical strategy games this is definitely a game for you. Rubicon Development just came out with a new strategy game — Combat Monsters. Rubicon Development are the same guys who brought you Great Little War Game! This game can be played on Kindle, iOS, PC and obviously Android.
