Capcom is looking for a Game Designer and Programmer for a brand new fighting game.

No details was revealed regarding which platform this fighting game will arrive.

The story is too old to be commented.

Well if Capcom doesn't have enough resources for a next gen fighter, an new ip would also be out the question. Also Capcom did state two weeks ago Ultra Street Fighter Four isn't where it should be at point. An extra game designer and programmer would help speed up the process.

Though if it Ultra Street Fighter 4, they would've just reveal it. Its not like the gaming community would pick on them for being behind in development. Probably another installment of MvC3.

If only it was new Power Stone game :(

let's see what comes out from this.
Ono is the only guy left in this company that i can trust cause he delivers quality titles.

just the other day Ono said that there was no budget for a new fighting game! Man, Capcom are sooo full of it.

Well resources doesn't always mean $$$/budget. Resources can also mean staff. Hire two new staff members wouldn't be costly and they can be let go once their job is done.

I think he meant Capcom didn't agree on assigning budget for a next-gen fighting game, not that they don't have the money!

The talk about Rival Schools 3 make me hope that the project got green light.

Capcom need to diverse their gaming title besides SF & Marvel vs Capcom. Just like the old times when they produce a lot of amazing fighting games like Power Stone, Rival Schools, Star Gladiator, Darkstalkers, X-Men: Children of Atom, etc.

Waiting for the eventual iOS exclusive platform announcements of the next Power Stone and Darkstalkers!! Woo hoo! iOS future master race!!

Overused iOS X every Japanese developer hate comment aside, I sure do hope these are for next-gen consoles. I'd be fine with Street Fighter V, as that's the most profitable fighting game series of the many Capcom owns, and they need that money bad. Let's just hope Capcom doesn't make any more stupid decisions next time, like disc-locked contents... Although I personally think the Blazblu team's handling of DLC was WAY, WAY WORSE.

Like i mention early Capcom needs top game developers that they dont have because they let the best of them come out of the company. Now they are in a situation were they dont have top creative minds to keep the games flow.To bad since they have some of the best ips in the world.

Inception1793d ago

They still have a couple of top creative minds such as Yoshinori Ono, Hideaki Itsuno (director of DMC 3 & Dragon Dogma), and Shu Takumi (director of Dino Crisis 2 & the creator of Ace Attorney series).

Sadly, i think what limits their creativity is the policy of Capcom higher ups. If Capcom higher ups not messing around, i think Ono, Itsuno, and Takumi can create more amazing titles.
