The ever-popular Minecraft will be receiving its biggest update for a long time, with the release of version 1.7 this Friday. The patch has already been pre-released, and has been titled “the update that changed the world”.
The update seems to be primarily focussed on changing the world itself, doubling the amount of biomes and changing terrain generation rules. The oceans have also been reduced in size, to allow for more more interesting land masses. These world updates are accompanied by a range of other features and reworks.
