"negative image of the Russian warrior"? LOL.

They are just videogames, everyone needs to chill. They aren't history lessons.

"distort history"

What?! History is history, a videogame couldn't change or distort that, only tell it in a different way, its called imagination. People who don't play videogames needs to stop talking about them, their bias and ignorance shines through so blatantly. Maybe the Russian government should focus more on teaching kids history in school rather than making sure fictitious videogames don't "distort" their peoples views.

Russia does have a point tough. They are often labeled as an Evil nation in modern games and there are barely any games where you get to play as a Nazi, Russian or someone from the middle-east.

Why not drop the Holier than thou US/UK protagonist and move in to the more real protagonist from say Germany or Middle-east? Might open up some deep and possibly somewhat disturbing plot elements.

I agree, the whole "Russia are the bad guys" thing is over used but to say its "distorting" history is taking it too far. They are videogames, if your countrymen and women can't differentiate between videogame and actual history then you should focus on education more....

A political discussion about videogames is silly some people really need to go more outside.
