Read the reviews and see which one sounds like you. Then you might want to look at some gameplay trailers to see if you really want to get this game.
Yep, reviews are all over the place, which indicates this is the sort of game that you will either love or hate. A demo would be a great way to find out for yourself. Here's hoping one shows up. Reminds me of ZombiU - reviews were all over the place, some hated it, others loved it.
Says the guy who was promoting IGN's review like it was the absolute truth just a moment a ago when I said what amounted to pretty much this...
I never promoted IGN's review about it. You said that IGN historically has been bad to Nintendo. I said that with the exception of Zelda and 3D Mario games you are right. Did you read my response to you on the other page? With your eyes I mean..
I loved it. Yes, it had a lot of flaws, but its pros far outweighed its cons for me. Zombi U is, to date, the showcase game that proves that the Wii U is capable of giving you a kind of experience that you just can't have anywhere else. No other game on Wii U comes close to it on its gamepad integration, and it was a launch game. I hope Ubisoft makes a sequel. I know they've already said that it's very unlikely, but I wouldn't put it past them. They made a sequel to the awful Red Steel, after all, and that sequel is awesome. (Admittedly, I call the first Red Steel awful only because of its reviews, I haven't played it myself. Maybe that was a case like Zombi U, lol. But I played Red Steel 2, and it's great).
Red Steel 2 was fantastic. And a proper showcase of motion controls when it came to sword fighting. It was everything Red Steel 1 was supposed to be.
