OtakuDome: God of War Ascension Review

Otaku Dome's God of War Ascension Review:

The third prequel in the God of War franchise has been released, but has the God of War franchise ran it’s course, or is it more than ready to head into the next generation of PlayStation? Read our review to find out.

God of War: Ascension is a 2013 prequel to 2005′s God of War, it is available exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

THE GOOD: God of War Ascension continues the powerful and emotional story of Kratos and the beautiful Ancient Greek setting returns with some new light. After two successful prequels on the PSP and HD remakes of said prequels on the PS3 it was only natural that Sony would consider bringing a brand new prequel to their console and they did so excellently. The usual epic, powerful story of Kratos is here full of new characters to aid or hinder hm in his quest for the truth after the Furies alter his memories. Multiplayer was fun and a nice attempt at making a single player epic different from the rest. Character creation was nicely created with a clean user interface. (God of War: Ascension, PS3) 84/100
