Why Battlefield 4 Puts Systems Before Story

Forbes - "When you get right down to it, the two most successful modern military shooters are Call of Duty and Battlefield, and they couldn’t be less alike while being the same kind of game. On the one hand, we have Call of Duty, a tight, annualized experience that revolves around small-team death matches, each game anchored by a Hollywood-style campaign of massive set-pieces and both scripted and semi-scripted action. On the other hand, we have Battlefield, which eschews the focus on story in exchange for big, elaborate battles with vehicles, destructible environments and more." (Battlefield 4, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)
