Sony Kicks Off "Since '95" Campaign, Focuses On #4thePlayers Hashtag

TSA writes: "I’ve been with PlayStation since about 1998. That’s not quite the 1995 – the launch of the original console – that the title of this advertising campaign focuses on, but I think that’s understandable since I was two years old when Sony’s first gaming system released."

That's an absolutely brilliant advert that is a celebration of the PlayStation history and how it has been a part of gamers' lives.

I love the little touches like showing the posters and music the guy was into during the PS1 era and how his tastes have changed but the one constant is PlayStation!

Great tagline too. Very smart to use the nostalgia/history. They are miles ahead of the PS3 advertising, it's amazing how on the ball Sony has been all year.

Agreed, was a really cool advert, I loved the ever changing London skyline between each generation... really cool touch.

Did everyone hear that the ps2 logo sound is being used for the ps4 start up sound in the video. That would be pretty damn sweet.

Got my psx for Christmas in '96. I got the Raiden collection in the big box before the games went to the standard CD jewel size, and more importantly, it came with the second edition of the demo disc. (Bogey: Dead 6, Warhawk, Die Hard Trilogy, VR Soccer, The Need For Speed, and some other stuff which I can't remember)

Been a long time!

makes you realise how desperate and silly the recent pretenders are....

Even as a Sega Genesis & Sega Saturn die hard fan I must surrender to the PlayStation brand because its miles ahead of the Sega.

And I owe a great sense of gratitude to the Sony PSOne because I made a living and food to eat from my PSOne's 4 Rent back in the 90's business.

The PSOne help me survive very hard times in Asia.

Thank heavens for the PlayStation!

4 The Players!

I remember I was so poor I finished Resident Evil without a memory card back then. LOL!

I too, have been playing since PS1. The Brand has a lot of legacy behind it.

I love how the TV keeps evolving in this video. I hope this kid get to move out of his attic one day though :)
