8CN: Photos were released online for the upcoming Persona film, Persona 3 The Movie: #1 Spring of Birth. While it's more than likely not coming to theatres stateside, we can probably expect a DVD/Bluray of the film in the future.

Video game movies are a bizarre phenomenon, in my book. Take a successful IP and adapt it into a movie. Sounds logical enough. Hell, it might even be good! But by and large these attempts don’t go over as well as other film adaptations.
With reasons like no game “authorship,” the removal of any element of emergent narrative, and other issues movies made from games have a steep slope to climb on the way to acceptance, let alone decency. Enter Persona 3: the Spring of Birth, and if you’ve ever been a slight fan of the Persona series, it’s time to give video game movies a second chance.
The upcoming Persona 3 anime movie, titled Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth finally got a release date in Japan. It’ll be in theaters on November the 23rd.
With the release date a new trailer of the movie and a gallery of beautiful character artwork have been released showing off the cast of the game with its revamped anime visuals.
Yeah, I'm really hoping for some sort of western release... Seeing it on a movie theater is another thing compared to a fansub >_>
Nice. Is this just one movie or are they making more? I find it hard to believe they can put all of Persona 3 in one movie.
