Hands-on with Resogun: Old-school Shooting, New-school Tech | PSBlog

Posted by Ryan Clements // Social Media Specialist -

Fire up Resogun, muffle out the world with a pair of killer headphones, and get lost in a flurry of bullets. This is the kind of shooter that demands a gamer’s full attention, and it’s the kind of demand worth giving in to.

Resogun, which launches alongside PS4 next month, marries the joy of chasing high scores with cutting-edge graphics tech. Like developer Housemarque’s other downloadable games (Super Stardust HD, Dead Nation), picking up the controls only takes a few minutes. I really like the defender-esq style of side scrolling shmup action married with the cylindrical design of the stage.

This is gonna be old school fun with new school flare.

@Javinator, see what some people don't see even u, is how the game is made , anyone can make a game look pretty , but they cant make a game look preety with all the stuff that's going on and its not little side scrolling spritz its hundreds of square's ,effects and enemy's on screen with polygons .

I loved Stardust and DeadNation, even had a lot of fun with OutLand so I'm happy to get this at launch. They have a great record in my book and the game looks awesome already anyway.

Note, those are hundreds of thousands of "cubes" not particle effects. It's on PS4 for a reason with no PS3 or vita version in sight.

Why complain when its included with plus?

Also this game is being made by the creators of Super Stardust which was a very good indie title on the PS3 and Vita.

These people sicken me they can't appreciate a good game when they see one.
