I'm really tempted to pick up Rocksmith.
The hurdles in this are a.) lack of guitar and b.) lack of any actual sense of skill.

Even with five songs missing, the new setlist and the old stuff combine to create a damn appealing lineup of songs.

Not to mention if all of the DLC is compatible.

I'm a proud owner of the first Rocksmith. It's a really fun tool/leaning software/game. It really helps you not only learn guitar, but helps aspiring guitarists improve their skill. And of course you learn new songs, so yay.

I'll help :P

A get a cheap guitar (like First Act or something) or buy one second hand

B Rocksmith tones it down EXTREMELY FAR so you will have no issues.

Dude you need to get Rocksmith 2014, it'll blow your mind. I have had guys who can't play guitar try ROcksmith, and honestly the progress they make in 20 mins, is more than all the time they've previously tried learning on their own.

Problem solved. It comes with a guitar.
