Delays May Kill The Next-Gen Before It Starts

CCC Says: "Can killer apps kill a console launch?
One of the biggest draws of a next-gen console launch is the games library. The hardware certainly takes center stage, showcasing the next step in console evolution, but the games are always what make or break a system. With the Xbox One, we’ll get enhanced features such as integrated motion-sensing technology that will allow for a complete hands-free experience in some games, where the PlayStation 4 will continue to innovate by adding touch-pad capabilities to its DualShock controller (not to mention it was Sony who backed the correct horse during the current-gen by picking Blu-ray over HD DVD as Microsoft did). So both powerhouses know a thing or two about hardware. However, one major piece of the launch puzzle they have less control over is exactly what their launch libraries will look like. All the awesome tech in the world isn’t going to mean a thing without some stellar titles to prop it up." (Driveclub, PS4, Watch Dogs, Xbox One)

Speaking if delays I find it unfortunate that Driver Club got delayed. They revealed it in Feb I guess one would assume it would be ready at launch. No worries, the game will only get better and hopefully hit those 60FPS.

Is it really delayed? I thought it was just a rumor..?

Yeah So far its just a rumor from.

I was just making an assumption based off of multiple sources picking up the rumor.

Here's hoping it isn't delayed.

Well sony hasn't confirmed or denied Driveclub being delayed. I know execs cant respond to every rumor, this seems to be everywhere though. I'm sure their fans buying a ps4 at launch want to know so I don't know whats taking so long, a quick tweet from Yoshida or the devs themselves would suffice especially with ps4 being less than a month away.

As for X1 everything seems to be moving along, despite failed attempts to imply otherwise. Micro is on tour showing games, meeting scheduled previews/presentations, showing UI apps, features, game dvr demos, explaining hardware architecture, giving details about gpu/cpu in tech conferences and online sites, explaining cloud computing and quickly responding of course to any misinformation that might get misinterpreted from all their many interviews.

Due to X1's strong exclusive launch lineup I dont think a couple multiplatform delays are much of a concern.
