News about World 1-1, a would-be documentary film detailing early video game history, now gathering funds at its Kickstarter page.
Possible to be done without the need for thousands of people to "donate" money. Seriously, kickstarter has made people rich on other peoples money. If it were a true investment where the people invest and see a return from the profit then I would support it, but as it stands it's people using money from other people and earning a living and gaining a profit from them. It's not fair. Before when someone had an idea like this they would use their own money to fund it and risk either losing, gaining, or breaking even. If not that then finding and INVESTOR to fund the project. Why don't they call it what it is... CHARITY!
I tend to agree. Kickstarter is a cool idea, but it has a shitton of things that need to be fixed.
Theres already a million of these on youtube... without the need for funding -_-
If they're doing early video games they'll have to go before Super Mario Bros.
This installment plans to cover the earliest video games (pre-arcade, like Computer Space) up through the Atari 2600 days.
Espn just did one today. It was about sports games but it was really well done. Really no need for this. IMO
same fvkìng guy spamming the forums. He managed to submit spam disguised as a story.
