BioGamer Girl states, "Dead Rising 3 will be the newest release for the Capcom franchise that saw its debut as an Xbox 360 exclusive back in 2006 during the first year of the new console. The new game takes place 10 years after the events of Fortune City in Dead Rising 2 and takes players a new fictional city named Los Perdidos in California. Players take on the role of Nick Ramos, an average Joe mechanic and one of the last remaining survivors of the zombie apocalypse in the town. Dead Rising 3 will see the return of the dark humor the series is known for in a gritty new setting, so the new release will have a chance to feature the best storyline the series has seen so far."
The Dead Rising series has enjoyed a long and storied history over the years, but which game in the series is best?
Over the last week, Jake has been going back to the Dead Rising 2 Off The Record remaster and has been an absolute blast. When he was 15 he first got his Xbox 360 and Dead Rising with it, it was unlike any other experience. It made him wonder though, what happened to the Dead Rising series.
Interesting timing. This retrospective was released just a few days ago: https://youtu.be/Et-cKSrWuc...
They took away the depth and charm of the game that made it fun and interesting, and made it into a generic zombie killing game.
This was the series the got me to buy an Xbox 360. The first one was so good. It still had horror elements. As it went on it became kind of a parody. Never forget getting Zombie Genecider achievement and then restarting the game to get the Mega Buster. That thing was monstrous against enemies.
VGChartz's Patrick Day-Childs: "2020 is upon us! The past decade has had some downs, like the influx of monetisation within full games, Blizzard's community backlash and EA winning the worst company in America award twice, but also some ups, like the leaps in understanding gaming from more mainstream companies to wholesome news like gamers helping preserve a controller signed by someone’s deceased mum.
The decade has also been the highlight of some… bizarre news, and I decided collect together some of the more obscure and quirky stories to make you giggle or question what the hell happened this decade."
Looks to be a solid/immensely enjoyable game for the Xbox One, although I wonder how significant it is to bring more people over to the Xbox One.
This game is ridiculously fun. Making a football grenade and throwing over a crowd of zombies that die in a shower of shrapnel was awesome
Out of all the games this is at the top of my anticipated list. I loved the first one, the 2nd one not so much but I'm liking what I've seen and played of this one.
Paid in full already!
Crazy how a game like this can be catapulted to OMG AMAZING when the previous two barely sold a million each per system for #2.
I played them all and will play this one but this is so weird to see how much better the game is now that's its a release exclusive compared to the people who really even cared for #1 and #2
What is so special about this one that wasn't special about the others i wonder? I mean really loved the last 2 for goof off games but not its a AAA exclusive title? Weird.
Day one baby! Cant wait.
