Fans of The Legend of Zelda franchise will be pleased to hear that they will be able to expect more information on the upcoming The Legend of Zelda Wii U game at next year’s E3 2014 event.
Nice, I'm looking forward to hearing any additional information.
Will this be 3 years after the initial Zelda showing at E3 on Wii U hardware?
i think so im not sure seems more like its been 2 years.
It was a tech demo
Nintendo has SquareEnix syndrome, announcing games and releasing them many, many years later. WTF is it with Japaneses companies and not releasing games in a timely fashion?
Historically every Zelda game has looked significantly better than the tech demo that was shown. I wouldnt mind the same graphics and art style of the demo though.
MY BODY IS READY FOR ZELDA U
Considering that they said that the game could've been shown at E3 2013, this does not surprise me at all. I'm so excited to see what they have in store though!
Hopefully they narrow down a release date ;)
Can't wait Its like a early Christmas for me. Just wondering there's been alot of talk between The Legend of Zelda a link between two worlds and Majora's Mask but I've been recently playing Windwaker HD and this time around as I was playing I noticed something that before no one would even thought second of. what caught my eye was that all the doors on the houses on outset island which is where you start the game they have Triforces but interestingly all the Triforces are upside down. its probably means nothing but hey you never know for all we know because of this small little sign the residents of out set island are actually The Descendants of the people from Lorule. I know the comment had nothing to do with the article. Just have some theories that have been rattling my mind
People really just want to see things that aren't there. Just F'n stop it. The people on outset island are the descendant of HYRULE. The flood caused the Hylian people to move up into the mountains ( which are the islands ) Lorule didn't come into play until -link between two worlds-. Which is on the THIRD timeline of the fork. It's in the timeline of Link to the past, where link failed in ocarina of time. Windwaker plays in the timeline where Link succeeded and was sent back home.
That's why it called a theory, who would have thought that the Ocarina of Time eould break into 3 different timelines, absolutely no one could have thought that.its just something that stuck out to me, have a open mind and breathe its not that serious :)
and Majora's Mask is in the timeline where link wins against Gannon and stays a child bit there is reffernce to it in a link bewtween two worlds. Do whatd your point.
@ChickeyCantor Don't be a rude A$$ and just let it go pal.
"That's why it called a theory, who would have thought that the Ocarina of Time eould break into 3 different timelines" No one did because Nintendo slapped it together because fans demanded a chronological timeline reference. "and Majora's Mask is in the timeline where link wins against Gannon and stays a child bit there is reffernce to it in a link bewtween two worlds. Do whatd your point." So you see the mask in a SHOP and suddenly there is a complete cross reference of theories? It's probably there for fan service. Probably because some people working on it also worked on Majoras mask. ( it's more likely that they are probably working on something majoras mask related, than link this game back to majoras mask) My point is that your "theory" falls flat as there was a clear explanation of where the people of outset island came from. And how they were forced up into the higher lands. I'm not trying to make this an issue, I really don't get why people just make stuff up and try to create some attention for it. @DarkBlood, Im not being rude, simply saying how it is.
Looking forward to seeing a Zelda U game. Loving windwaker at the moment as never played the gamecube version but for me Nintendo have got me excited about there console and games again. I was even excited for the Pokemon x and y gamea on the 3ds and im 29. Keep them coming Nintendo and the Wiiu sales will pickup.
please be excited
It's no shit of Square Enix ,bro...
Sweet! Now just drop the price of a Wii so I can play Skyward Sword without feeling guilty of wasting my money on a console for only one game.
Dont be, i only brought my Wii at release day and only played 2 titles on it Zelda TP and SMG.Than i had to sold the machine because i brought my HD tv and sold my SD tv and the Wii games look very bad on HD tv .Still hopping that Nintendo will end releasing an HD remake of SKYWARD SWORD and SMG 2;or maybe give the option to play those two games on the WII U gamepad ,with that small screen im sure they would look great.
ummm you can play ALL Wii games on the gamepad now.
He meant play them on the actual gamepad which is currently not doable ;)
Dude, you can get a used Wii for like $50.
uh you can find a wii for 80
Woulnd`t mind them giving information earlier. Announcing in October to look forward to E3 next year is a bit of a long wait.
Yes, I actually was expecting a direct in January or February that would showcase it. Not sure what games Nintendo have to show off. Maybe we'll see some secret projects early next year.
I really hope Nintendo have a holiday Direct before the new year where they talk about 2014 titles and show a teaser for the new Zelda or even Metroid.
maybe their waiting that long to go balls to the walls. hope so
Ok this I want to see
Hopefully it's a big step forward for the franchise, and hopefully they really tone down the hand holding for this next one.
So that pretty much confirms Zelda U for a fall 2014 release then? Nintendo rarely shows big games like this unless they are coming out that year. Im guessing around October/November of 2014 will be Zelda's release date. Looks like 2014 is going to be REALLY strong for Nintendo. I still lament the lack of 3rd party support, but I can get those 3rd party games on the other consoles, so no big deal. These killer Nintendo games are more than worth the Wii U investment. Its a really good system actually. Still dont uinderstand the hate thrown at Nintendo, but whatever.
its not hate man. its just former nintendo fanatics are now having better experiences on other consoles and them not knowing what to make of anything anymore. I just wasnt THAT impressed with the zelda tech demo and i remember a time when Zelda games were on the cutting edge of presentation AND gameplay.
Nope not at all, us Nintendo fans are still here and are still having better experiences on Nintendo consoles than any other. Nintendo always has and always will be for true gamers, other consoles just rely on hype and pretty graphics. Nintendo will always put quality gameplay over pretty graphics thats why their games are timeless and have lots of replay value unlike the other 2 consoles in the market.
Hopefully it's been under development even while they made Skyward Sword. I don't want them to shorten the time intervals inbetween releases of Zelda games because Zelda has such a good track record on being some of the most full and polished experiences... oh, and TP lacked things your could discover as well as lacking stuff you could buy for all your rupees so I hope they give more thought to gameplay design this time around. (methinks Skyward Sword didn't do much to fix that either) Hopefully this will be it's own thing and not try to be either then next "OoT" or the next "Wind Waker". The best thing about Zelda is how each game is so unique and TP was just destined to stay in OoT's shadow. But I have faith in Aonuma's ambitions.
So....a very interesting Mario game in December followed by heavy hitter first party games in 2014 (Smash Brothers with stable online), Donkey Kong, and a Zelda tease/ possible release. Not sure if Nintendo is as serious with the Wii U as they are with the 3DS but Sony and Microsoft should be cautious.
november not december
We have to wait that long after they showed us that demo how many years was that and how many years until they release the damn game
You dont rush perfection !
