Fond Memory: Star Wars: KotOR Changed My Life

The gameplay was just strange, never played anything like it. The game paused, you chose a sequence of attacks, and then when you initiated actual combat, your character would attack every 3 seconds, if I remember right? So, one, two, ATTACK! One, two, ATTACK! At first, this really didn't sit too well, especially since I grew up playing games where I had total control. I put it down, after just the first few minutes of gameplay. There wasn’t another game to occupy my time, so I decided to give KotOR another chance.

KOTOR changed my preception of gaming and had a lasting impact... especially on what story telling is truly capable off.

"KotOR is the reason I fell in love with games like Fallout and Dragon Age. It’s because of Knights of the Old Republic that my favorite types are open world games that allow you to explore and grow your character in any way you choose. "

Exactly how I feel! It wasn't until this game that I started playing western RPGs, and blew my mind with it's story telling. And it's been amazing ever since. Thank you for reading:)

I was never into this sort of games but i just might try this game im feeling bored at videogames lately maybe what i need is a new fresh perspective.

You should definitely give it a try. It's a bit slow, and it takes a bit of getting use to. But once you get into it, it's amazing!

It really was:) I wish there were more games like it!

I have no idea why Bioware did not return to this universe. You would think that a Star Wars game would automatically do well.

I wonder the same thing. I know that they did Old Republic, which is okay. But I've heard a lot of mixed criticism about it. I would have liked if they just did a console version, without the need to be online.
